I had a Tempur Pedic mattress that was like - soft/ medium and after 5 years I was waking up in pain. Though the foam rebounded when I wasn’t on it, as soon as I got in I felt like I sank and sank and couldn’t get comfortable (apparently this happens in memory foam mattresses over time). My lower back was in agony!
So I got the highest rated inner spring mattress I could find and while I appreciated the support after 2 nights I was STILL in pain. I think the transition from soft/medium memory foam to med/firm innerspring was unexpectedly difficult and uncomfortable.
This topper has saved my sleep! I now have the comfort of memory foam with the support of inner spring and I am out of pain and sleeping really well! I only got the 2 inch since my bed is new but would highly recommend any thickness of these toppers - especially if you are transitioning from something soft to something with more support!
I have purchased knockoffs in the past and they just have not been the same quality as this (plus they usually smell). The extra $75 dollars was well worth it given the 8-10 hours I spend each day in bed.

Slight tear. Feels good though!
9/7/23 update. This thing is awesome. Been having good night sleep. Back is not as sore in the morning if at all. I recommend this product.8/25/23So there is a tear. But honestly I'm not surprised with how the foam topper was packed.It is folded and rolled and obviously all smushed.I elected to not return it though because I had no idea how I'd get it back in the wrap that held it.I will update how I slept tomorrow! I'm a biggie and have a sore back and shoulder. My one sister has a similar topper on her guest bed and I felt really good he next day after a visitJust sitting on it making this review feels good. So I have high hopes.8/26/23I slept well and woke up with minimal Lowe back pain. Definitely not as bad. Glad I bought thos foam topper!
