The case is metal and has a durable anodized coloring. I had no problem applying one of the two (2) tempered glass screen protectors. As soon as it made contact (in the center of my cell phone) it spread the adhesive out across the entire face of my phone. No bubbles blocking the viewing screen. It did have a bit at the bottom where the last contact barely reached.
The case slipped right on and has not released or shifted since. There is a "ring" on the back which you can use to keep a firmer grip on the phone when calling or showing pictures. It can also be used for setting the phone up on a table to display pictures (horizontally or vertically). You could attach a lanyard to it there if you needed to; but it would not fold flat if you did that.

I had one like this for more than 2 years, but eventually the ring on the back broke off. This is not surprising considering the degree to which I abused it. But I had to have another one!
Due to nerve damage in my hands, the metal ring makes it much easier to hold onto. I can just slip one finger through the ring and don't have to grasp the phone at all. The ring also works well in making the phone stand up.
There have been at least a dozen instances of dropping the phone on hard surfaces and this case has kept it from breaking.
The purple is slightly more blue than what is shown, but the color doesn't matter to me.
I just hope that when I have to replace my phone, this case will be available for whatever type of phone I get.
