Budget clear case with compromises
I wanted to ensure I had a clear case to protect my new Pixel 8 Pro phone with at launch and this was a name brand I am very familiar with and has been around for a long time in the Smartphone case business. I received it ahead of the phones launch and had it waiting for when I received my new phone.I opted for this case this year because it appeared to be similar to the higher priced case I used on my previous Pixel phone. As far as clarity it certainly is clear. It appears it would be a great case to protect the phone with. However, after just a single day with this case I decided I would return it and stick to the brand I used last year, even though it costs over two times as much.What I don't understand is why Spigen felt the need to stamp on "AIR CUSION TECHNOLOGY" onto the top right corner of this case. It felt entirely unnecessary and took away from the beauty of your phone. Knocked off a star from my rating for that alone, poor design choice! This is best left on the product page, and not on the case itself.The second reason I am taking away a star is due to the stiffness and hard edges in certain areas of this case. It's not anywhere near as flexible as I would have thought. This does make it hard to take the case off to clean your phone from time to time. Some of the edges, such as around the camera bar are a bit too rough as well, especially near the side of the phone where the curve begins. Makes it too rough feeling in the hand. That coupled with the stiffer material of the case was not pleasing to hold in the hands.It's a good clear case if your only expectation is to protect your device and you want something on the cheaper end. If you want a clear case that will feel much better and have more flexibility when taking it off, spend some more and look elsewhere.
