Compared to my first case for the Pixel 7 Pro, this feels solid and more protective. The case doesn't soften up and isn't that easy to remove with one hand so it holds on to the phone firmly. It bevels out on the edges so you lay the phone display down on smooth surfaces with just enough clearance. My biggest peeve with my previous case was the fact the camera lip still protruded that I always grabbed it by the camera when I reached it from my wireless charger. Not so much the case with the Spigen and the case eliminates the lip. Could be a good or bad thing if liked to rest your finger beneath it while holding the phone. The kickstand doesn't feel flimsy and supports the phone in landscape mode. Don't bother trying to stand it up portrait mode for video chat as the phone is way too heavy for it. The edges of the case are a bit sharper side against the palm after a while. It tends to irritate my palm after extended use. I guess you can consider that as a "wellness" factor to prevent you from holding your phone for too long...ha! The volume buttons are also hit or miss. Sometimes I hit the power button instead of the volume up button even though the power button has an indent, whereas the volume buttons are flush with the edge of the case. The volume down button seems a little offset that I have to hit the highest point of to make a solid contact. A small annoyance but not terrible to manage.
With the small cons, I bought the case for protection and this will do the job. I wouldn’t say it’s the perfect case with minor imperfections but I don’t regret it at all. Spigen has always been my go to and so far I’m content.

*Update* case is fine. Only negative is the hard chiseled edge on the back.
*update* Had to have been the phone. Replacement device has been fine ever since in this case with drops.*So I've used thinner less rugged Spigen cases in the passed on my Pixel 4XL since the day it came out for 3+ years with drops, etc over the years and zero issues.This time around I decided to go with the most rugged case Spigen offers. And because they are now a officially recognized Google pixel accessory manufacture too.Immediately upon receiving my pre ordered pixel 7 pro it got a screen protector and went straight into the case. Within two weeks I've taken out out of the case twice to clean between the phone and case to avoid any debris abrasion.On the second time (two weeks in) I go to clean the device I am shocked to notice screen imperfections under/in the lower corner's of the glass! These are not visible with the case on as it cover's these areas. Keep in mind the phone has never been dropped, bumped, sit on, exposed to extreme temperature, overheated, NOTHING!. Not too mention it's been in the most "Protective" case Spigen makes. This shouldn't have happened in this case even if it was dropped based on the standards they claim it meets.I have no explanation on how this has happened on a two week immaculate pixel 7 pro other then maybe this case is putting to much pressure on the device? Who knows what would have happened in the event of a drop.Now I have Google doing a warranty replacement.In closing I can't confirm that this case is to blame, but with no impacts to the device it's the only thing touching those areas of the phone/screen.Photos show the issue areas and how there's zero blemishes in the aluminum or scuffs in the corners of the case as you'd find in a drop impact. UnrealCan't recommend and will be going another route from now on in fear of the new replacement device could meet the same Fate.
