I like the textured edge of the Pixel 5 case and satin finish on the back. Just enough to provide good grip without creating a dirt magnet. The case also protects the camera area by creating a small gap between any horizontal surface and the camera lenses. Alignment of the fingerprint reader is perfect. I have not yet tested this case with a serious bump, nor do I intend to. However, it has performed flawlessly thus far with small falls and bumps from a couple of feet onto hard surfaces like laminate flooring. It adds little bulk to the phone and is visually interesting. The texturing on the edges makes it easy to grip, and the case itself has some texturing that resists movement when the phone is resting on a hard surface. Even so, it slides easily in and out of my pockets. I have a screen protector on my phone, and the front is raised just enough to keep the screen with the protector out of contact when the phone is resting on its face on a table. That being said, if you dropped the phone on its face on an uneven surface, it might take some damage.

Overall, a very good, reasonably priced case that provides a medium level protection without adding bulk to the phone.

For every phone I get, and I upgrade about once a year, I pick up a Spigen Rugged Armor. I generally buy several cases to switch up the feel and aesthetics, but the Rugged Armor is one I get every time, as this is just consistently a great case that balances good drop protection with relatively minimal bulk. It's a fairly basic TPU case that has the corner air cushions, a good front lip, precise cutouts, and a good looking design that minimizes fingerprints. Button coverage maintains good tactility.

I've dropped my phones in Rugged Armors on several occasions over the years and have never had any damage in a fall. Each model for each phone they design these for are only minimally changed every year to fit the specific phone model, and that's because there's nothing much to change. They are consistently high quality, protective and reasonably slim.

One: In order to use the navigating gesture (left edge to center) to navigate back one page,
You HAVE to touch the "very edge" and move towards center.
With the raised edge of the case "as is" you can Not get the edge swipe function to work.
Two: The case did NOT have the shown and stated sound channel for the under glass top speaker.
.
To remedy the above 2 drawbacks, is to use a small rotary tool and grind rubber on edge to below the glass level, and too use rotary tool to cut channel like in the photo.
.
Tip: To decide where to create the cutout for the swipe location....... Hold the case in hand and mark between the the 2 middle fingers where you hold the case. That way when you swipe, you move right indes finger between the 2 middle fingers of the left hand.. You don't have to move fingers holding the phone, and it's easy to find the notch.
When creating the Speaker notch, Carefully grind up to, but Not past the high bezel egde of the case,
this will direct the sound back towards the listener.

Car Mount > BONUS IDEA:
Velcro brand Velcro works Great for a car mount.
Get the 1 1/2" x 2 feet roll. (it's made for vinyl and rubberized product)
I've been using this method for years and love it.
Cut the 1 1/2" wide strip X 2"'s long,
and Place the soft fabric Velcro side in the center of the case centered "just" below the finger scanner.
This allows you to hang the phone vertically or horizontally on the car dash.
Place the "hook" side Velcro on the car dash facing you. (cut to smaller size)
Mine is right above the AC vent, which has benefit of cooling the phone while charging when AC is on.
The soft Velcro side helps your finger find the scanner quicker,
And.... the little extra width at the center of phone back - doe's Not hinder the wireless charging.

Spigen nailed it yet again. I've had Spigen cases on my last 3 phones (Pixel 2, iPhone 11, and Galaxy Note 10) and have yet to have any issues with damage from drops. Actually got mad and yeeted one of those at a wall and the only thing damaged was the screen (Young, stupid, and angry). This one is exactly what I needed for my Pixel 5. Low profile and wireless charger compatible, grippy to where it won't slide around in my hand, and stylish.

The texture on the body of the case is, in my opinion, perfect for damp and dry conditions with just the right amount of texture. The stylish inserts at the top and bottom are very well done and, while most likely not actually carbon fiber, have a good feel. They definitely aren't some cheap insert that's going to come unglued on you after a few weeks and feel to be molded into the actual case material.

All in all, 6/5 and I'm pretty sure Spigen has officially earned brand loyalty from me.

Spigen has well-made cases. The plastic is sturdy yet not too stiff where it interferes with the side buttons. I ordered another case from another seller that was not Spigen brand and I am returning it. It is a bright red color but the plastic around the buttons is so stiff that it requires two hands to put the phone to sleep or turn up/down the volume. If my hands are full, I really need to be able to access these buttons with one hand. I just wish Spigen made other colors other than just black or a dark color. Since I've had my case, my spouse and I have taken each others' phones by mistake. He has an iphone 8 and I have the Pixel 5, the screens and the butt end of the phone look very similar at first glance. So if Spigen made some 'girly' colors that would be great, that way I can keep my phone identifiable at a distance. SPIGEN, MAKE SOME BRIGHT COLORS :) I won't spend 40.00 on a Pixel case from Google store when a Spigen case works the same at a more reasonable price.

Solid case, fits perfectly even with a tempered glass screen protector applied. Case wraps around the top edges of the phone, to allow the screen to sit "below" those edges protecting it from scratches when face down.
The rear fingerprint cut-out is well designed, and a good size which makes it extremely easy to line up your finger with the sensor.
The buttons are extremely tactile, and feel good.
I've used only Spigen cases for the last four phones I've had (Nexus 6P, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 5) and they have never let me down.

Non c'è nulla da dire. Ogni telefono che ho avuto negli ultimi 6 anni ho sempre acquistato cover della Spigen e non sono mai rimasta delusa. La qualità costruttiva e dei materiali è eccellente. La protezione è perfetta e ammortizzata negli spigoli la parte dei bordi che poggia sul display è rialzata e in rilievo per proteggere anche il vetro nel caso cadesse di piatto. I miei telefoni negli anni hanno sempre preso cadute assurde anche sull'asfalto di piatto con il display sui sassolini e non è mai successo nulla. Nessun danno, come se non fossero mai caduti.
Comprerò cover Spigen tutta la vita.
