I bought this lens. Arrived today. Put it on Sony A7sii. It causes a vignette all around the shot. I took the lens off again and it has a rectangular box on the end of the lens where it meets the camera where it is obviously causing the vignette. But this is a Sony E-mount lens for an E Mount camera so i don't understand. Can the rectangular box be removed???? Is it because it is not a FULL FRAME LENS. Some people said take it off RAW. Others said do 16:9. Didn't work. Is this an APS-C lens??

Love it! I am a beginner photographer and I have the original lens that my Sony A3000 came with, well, the kit lens. I bought this lens because I wanted to step up and start taking more, better pictures, and my sister in law wanted me to take pictures for her girls portraits and stuff for Saturday, August 15th. The lens arrived pretty quickly and I was happy, because other versions were also expensive and taking too long to ship. It's sleek looking. True to color in photo. Clean. Works well with the E-mount. Focus is something that you have to work with because if you zoom in too much, it'll blur the image, so you have to get it just right. I love it and I can't wait to start shooting with it!!!!!

I picked up this lense after purchasing a 200-600 G OSS lense. I by no means was expecting the quality i was getting out of the G Master but boy was I let down by this lense. I picked up this kit lense to have something between my 28-70 and my 200-600. First, it feels cheap. Upon taking it out of the box I was immediately let down by the quality of the product. Second, once hooked up to my a7iii, I was immediately put back by the quality of the photo, I was getting a very weird circular edge on all of my photos and it wasn’t a setting or anything because neither of my other lenses did the same.

Save your money and get something a little more such as a 70-300 Tamron which is 499 or cheaper.
