The Samsung Smart Monitor has been an outstanding addition to both my home office and entertainment setup. Its versatility in supporting both Mac and PC, along with seamless screen mirroring, makes it a perfect choice for anyone looking to maximize their workspace and entertainment experience.

For office use, this monitor is just good enough. I can access and control my PC/Mac remotely or work directly on the monitor using embedded productivity apps like Microsoft 365. This feature has streamlined my workflow, allowing me to bypass the PC entirely when necessary. The ability to use one mouse and keyboard across multiple devices.

When it comes to gaming and entertainment, the Samsung Smart Monitor provides a decent experience suitable for most gamers. The Samsung Gaming Hub is an ultimate home for gaming, allowing me to instantly play the biggest games from top streaming partners without the need for a PC or console. The access to OTT content directly from the monitor, and the ability to tune into Samsung TV Plus for live TV channels and on-demand content at no cost, makes it an excellent secondary TV, especially in a small space.

Managing my smart home has also been very pleasant experience. For fitness enthusiasts, this monitor offers the ability to stream workout content or run personal workouts while watching TV. You can even pair Galaxy Watch to track real-time health data on the screen while keeping up with streaming content is an incredible feature

Overall, the Samsung Smart Monitor excels in every aspect, making it the perfect choice for office productivity, gaming, entertainment, and smart home management. Highly recommended as you can't get any better with all these features at this price point. Yes, it's not a 4k monitor but 1080P is good enough for screen this size.

While most Smart TVs you acquire today will be great as the technology has essentially come to a peak. This Samsung monitor has to differentiate in a smaller detail. And it does do that in many aspects. The image is very clear, but initially I did need to tweak the overall brightness, as it is very bright. In my case that was too much because I use this a work monitor more so than a television. As a TV, that you would sit away from a few feet, the brightness level is ideal, and the picture crisp and clean. Up close, you are more likely to nitpick small issues with the image, but a bit of tweaking in the menus and it is near perfect. I didn't utilize the Smart Apps, SmartThings components yet as they weren't the primary necessity for this monitor, but in reviewing the setup procedures, menus and guides, it is all extremely helpful and easy to follow, so even the novice technology user will be able to get this on their Wi-Fi and begin using the app services it provides. Essentially removing the need for any streaming gear plugged in, it is self-contained as long as it is connected to the Wi-Fi.

This is a nice computer monitor for the price and does have the samsung tv channels as well as some apps like netflix, amazon prime, youtube video, etc; but it's not nearly as nice as many smart tv's that can also be used as a monitor. I've used vizio and samsumg televisions as computer monitors before for computers like mac mini or an extra monitor on a mac book and have always loved the versatility of a monitor but also a full tv. This one is more a monitor with "some" smart tv features. All that said, I still really like this and am using it as an extra monitor for my macbook air; but then watch the news or netflix at times.

I will say that the speakers are pretty nice which is important because you can't hook this up to external speakers from what I can tell.

There are some items I do have some complaints about:
- Remote button response a bit slow. At times you push a button and there is a second or two delay which is a problem if you're impatient and you keep hitting the button and then the tv does all kinds of weird things. Also, the remote is very basic. No number pad or shortcut buttons.
- Image quality isn't super clear. I'm not sure why this would be used as a gaming monitor; I wouldn't do that.
- There is no HD antenna coaxial cable connection to get over the air stations.
- Only 2 HDMI inputs and 2 USB ports. That's it.

I'm still getting a lot of use out of this, but it would be better to just get a smart tv and then use that as a monitor via one of the HDMI ports if you need to.

I wanted to take some time to really see what it can do before I reviewed it and make sure it's good. As usual samsung didn't disappoint. For anyone wondering what it actually is (like I did lol) it's essentially a smart TV minus an internal antenna that you can use as a monitor and use as a hub for your smart home. It's pretty user friendly and walks you through setup (which only takes a couple minutes btw). It can also be used for cloud based gaming and keeps everything nice and organized. The picture quality is comparable to my actual TV of similar size and looks pretty good. The sound is good but not AS good as my TV though. The sound quality is perfectly usable, however if you use it for any length of time you'll probably want to upgrade to a proper sound bar. I'll be honest it's cost is about that of an average TV but it does WAY more. The remote was easy to understand and kinda reminds me of roku remote. You can connect a keyboard and mouse and wirelessly mirror your computer to it as well.
