The A14 is often compared to the A23 which happens to be my last phone. The A14 is a better price, and while is described as slow it performs a better with word processing, but it still jumps the cursor around and often doesn't understand word suggestion short cuts & skips them leaving a garbled word.
IE: shouldn' or helpdsp
I think the main difference between tAhe A23 & A14 is the A23 was a jumpy-spazing phone, while the A14 is decent till the processor slowsdown.
It doesn't take great pictures (which is odd for phone with multiple lenses), but is slightly better than A23 was, and the camera is slow to respond. (A friend with a cheaper Moto has a better camera.) Audio isn't bad but muffles at times, which I didn't notice on the A23.
Having both power buton and volume together is annoying. The tear drop down for the selfie cam is annoying. The speaker on the bottom is of course annoying and makes phone calls difficult.
Basically all the modern nuances of Samsung are annoying and not individualized.
The phone doesn't show text messages on the lock screen. A bad security policy of Samsung. So this may be my last Samsung as it's annoying to have to stop what I'm doing to unlock my phone every time I get a text.
The A14 is noted as being the best phone for under 200. I certainly think it's better than the A23 was, but I have had cheaper phones that were much better (J7 Prime & J3 Orbit).
It Basically has decent storage space for apps or photos. I don't think it's a bad phone, just that Samsung has gone downhill. So if you're set on Samsung, this will be fine.
