I bought this because my bedroom is warm and I cannot sleep in a hot room. I needed to cool it off at night only and I did not want a window unit. It was fairly east to get it set up to run. One problem I had was the sliding piece that sits in the window was way too long so I had to get creative to get to use it. Love the remote. noise: it’s loud but I do not mind it as I use fan to sleep. It gets really cold! (Which is good). I have had it a few months with no issue. Make sure you have a large bucket or something for the draining hose. Overall I would recommend. It was a good purchase!

This air conditioner is of decent quality. It is simple to install and operate and has ample power to cool a room. But it's noisy. I wish it had a third speed that was lower and quieter. The "sleep" function does not make it run quieter; it turns it off after a while. It also needs a large bucket sitting behind it to catch the water from the drainage hose. In the beginning, not much water collected in the small bucket I was using. Then one day I came home to find it had overtopped the bucket and made a big mess on the floor. Now I have a big square bucket back there but no more than and inch or so of water ever drains into it.

If this is important to you, the fan doesn't work as described both in the manual and in the product description on Amazon. Feels either careless or deceptive. I was looking for a portable air conditioner where the fan would stay on between cooling cycles, which provides a nice background noise for when the air conditioning goes on and off - it makes it so that the stop/start noise isn't quite so startling, and doesn't wake you up whenever it starts and stops (because the fan is providing a white noise in the background).

Above in the description, it says "Cooling Mode will automatically reach and maintain this temperature, switching between cooling and fan only mode for optimum cooling efficiency." And in the manual it says, "If the room temperature goes below the set temperature, cooling mode will pause, but the fan will remain operating at the set fan speed."

This is not true. The fan turns off completely when the temperature is reached, so the machine becomes silent. And when cooling restarts, the whole machine starts up with a jolt. It's expressly NOT what I was looking for, even having done the research by reading in the manual online and the description above it turns out the machine doesn't do this as described. Know this if that's what you want! (If you don't care, then this machine might work just fine for you) All that and returning this machine is cumbersome and difficult. Do better, Pro Breeze!

Live in Southeast United States where the temperature in the spring and summer ranges from 80s- 100s. Use this AC to add some additional coolness to my bedroom without cooling the entire apartment. Very easy to set up, and was able to get up and running within 15 min of delivery. Have been using every day for about a month. It is a little louder, but I typically sleep with a white noise machine and this fits right in. This is a smaller unit, so only feedback that I have is that you need to ensure that it continuously runs throughout the day if there is no secondary AC unit. Central AC went out about a week ago for a day and apartment got to the high 80s. Did not have this portable AC unit on and it took it a couple hours to fully cool my bedroom ( door closed and vents sealed while central AC was out) from high 80s to high 60s.

Unit worked fine for cooling our room but the fan is REALLY loud. I am using this to be cooler at night and it ran all night long. That was the nice part because it had a continuous thrum versus it turning of and then immediately turning back on again. The sleep function is for ENERGY EFFICIENCY only. It will adjust the temperature by 2 degrees up by the morning, which is not good for a cold environment. I would totally recommend if you wanted this for any other location in your house or office, just not for your bedroom.
