There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
If you're looking for a drone with great picture/video, decent range and price point, just buy this one, honestly. You can YouTube reviews and by and large they'll impress you. Though I don't think reviews will do it justice. It has super clear video and pictures when you're moving slow with good connection.
This package is cheaper than many drones by themselves too. It's well worth it when you consider the cost of batteries and carrying case.
As an amateur this thing was super easy to fly. The stability is fantastic. The return to home is decent enough. (Might land about a meter or less off from where it took off) and the other features, track, follow, orbit etc. Are super fun. I use this a ton when I go out hiking or camping. The range is so good! Just auto safety features like connection loss and low battery makes it atuo return.
Only thing I'd point out is to make sure the satellite icon isn't red prior to take off.(it needs like +6 satellites or something) It will drift when you do that. I found out the hard way on a hike lol. Ended up hiking down an embankment to get it. It was totally fine though. Bit dirty and a couple marks but other than cosmetic damage it was good.
Last thing I will say is you 100% need to take the free TRUST FAA course when flying ANY drone. Even the 250 grams and less ones like this one. It's free and super easy. There's more info on YouTube, but yeah it's a new law here in the USA.
The controller is able to handle quite large phones with the case installed. The fly more package came with 3 batteries, extra blades and cables for all connections. The included case is of excellent quality and has more than ample space for all equipment plus smaller items that I carry with me.
The camera produces excellent pictures and video as you'd expect from a Sony sensor. All the manual manipulation options you'd expect from an expensive drone packed into this affordable package.
The only change I would suggest to the company is to update the waypoint editor to allow for the camera azimuth to be manipulated so other than forward facing would be an option.
Would I suggest you buy this drone? I can't stress how quickly you should hit that buy button. Make the purchase and have fun.
The drone itself is pretty good for its price range. A negative that I can't get over is the camera will jump angles, and only in certain directions or certain modes. The jump happening and the angle it jumps to is consistent and repeatable. CS decided it was inertia, but after testing and conversations, it is definitely a mechanical or firmware flaw. It can be worked around, but you'll have to sacrifice some things like shooting straight down while flying forward.
The other bigger negatives that I was told I can ignore is the non-stop "please calibrate" kind of message. That and calibrating it as described and shown, the horizontal works nearly 100% of the time, and the vertical calibration fails maybe 80% of the time. I've tried blue sky and cloudy days - blue skies work a little more often but isn't making a huge difference.
Compared to YouTube drone comparisons, it didn't steady itself as well as they showed. On occasion, it would get silly and circle in a 5-foot circumference before re-settling into place. Those are rare and not a deal-breaker for me, but an observation.
The signal in my semi-city area let me go about 1500 feet. I would've hoped for more, but I do have a lot of two-story houses, trees, and power lines around. I haven't flown it elsewhere to know what more it's capable of.
The drone is as expected - light weight, feels sturdy opening the legs & arms, flies as expected. It's fast when set to the proper mode, and does reasonably well fighting winds. I don't think I'd easily fly it in 20mph winds as it was bouncy with less than that, but then again, the windy days I've tried was with sporadic wind gusts. The sensors seem to work as expected. The cloudy area where I live, it takes a minute to grab enough satellites to get going.
The app has a lot of settings, some of which I haven't even tinkered with, but plenty of options. I do wish I could transfer the high-res videos through the app, but you'll need to put the SD card directly into a computer to grab it that way. It also has a handful of "special flights", like boomerang or rocket. I haven't tried them, not until i can get to a more open area, but so far those are great.
The controller is really good - it feels hefty and sturdy. I like how you can daisy chain charge it with the battery hub.
The battery and their life span is pretty good. The hub definitely makes it easier. I did have lots of battery issues - I'd fully charge it, disconnect the power for 5 seconds, the reconnect the power and they'll start charging for 15 minutes as if they depleted that quickly. CS was great at replacing the bad batteries so I'd have a good set of working batteries.
It is odd that when I return things to them, Google Maps showed their business as a house. I don't mind if a legit business is working from their home or employees are helping take on deliveries, but don't tell me and insist i'm shipping to their factory warehouse for testing when it's a residence. (Of course, google maps can be in the wrong here, too.)
I am grateful their CS did replace problematic batteries, and were so extremely communicative throughout the process.
Happy flying!

The footage is really stable, even when in `sport mode` and going pretty fast (like 20mph in winds) - and the gimbal is easy to control and get the shots that I want without thinking about it too hard.
One thing I noticed is that in `auto` mode while filming, it can really blow out highlights if there is a lot of contrast, say with green trees and white sidewalk. Fortunately you can modify the the ISO and shutter speed to help combat this, but it isn't always ideal since you only have so many flight minutes per battery. I'm hoping later firmware updates will help here, but I'm not holding my breath - and it isn't really a big deal.
Battery life is really respectable, I am impressed with how long this thing flies. In my tests its like 20 minutes before I land, but I tend to land with some battery left in case I see something else I want to film or fly over - so I don't doubt the advertised 30 minute flight time (assuming the right conditions)
The GPS is pretty good, and I quite like the autoreturn and autoland features, but I've gotten more comfortable doing both manually (its kind of fun) so I don't use that as much now. But it works, and works pretty good.
I don't have any complaints, I really like this thing and look forward to flying it when ever I see a nice day out. It checked all my boxes too:
- be a good price
- have good and stable footage
- have at least 20 minutes of flight time per charge
I didn't try any of the intelligent flight modes, and I'm not really super interested in them - but if I do try them I'll update this review with additional information on what I think about them.
But overall: this is a great drone, I love it and would buy another in a heartbeat.

The build quality on this Potensic model is superb for the price I paid for it in the Black Friday sale. Within minutes of turning it on I could see how much an improvement it was over my previous model (a Fimi), whereas my old drone took several minutes to find the GPS signal, and when it did it maxed out at 9 or 10 satellites, however the Potensic found 20+ satellites within 30 seconds and calibration was a breeze.
One battery lasts a full 32 minutes (you even have a battery life timer countdown), and when you take into account the fly more bundle has 3 batteries, this has to be a best in class flight time for the price.
The app is super responsive with a great tutorial and helpful voice prompts that tells you when the drone is safe to launch based on the number of satellites in view and other flying aids. It also shows tips and tricks (which you can turn off if required).
When I first flew with it, I couldn't quite get my head around the controls in Mode 1 (default), so I changed to Mode 2 in the settings where the left stick controls forward, backward and rotate, while the right stick controls altitude and yaw,
The intelligent tracking is cool, when you turn it on the display registers what it believes you want to track and you can either click on this, or draw a square around the person to track before choosing additional parameters.
Return to home works well and it lands within a metre of it's take off location.
Still getting to grips with the app as it is early days (the flight log seems difficult to view in the app but it can be exported) but otherwise I am happy with first impressions.
It has a decent wind resistance, and when there is no wind the hover is unbelievably stable. The manoeuvrability is really responsive and it comes with 3 different speed levels (beginner, sport & video).
The gimbal is 3 axis and this keeps the camera incredibly stable in all conditions, what I loved about this model is you can calibrate the gimbal while flying to correct any slight variances with the horizon to ensure it remains level.
The amount of picture controls (white balance etc) is great for a drone of this size and really makes a difference when flying on bright sunny days.
The package is tiny, when I first received it I thought I had not received the fly more bundle, however it was all included (drone, controller, 3 hub battery charger, cables and multiple spares - and most surprising (and pleasing ) of all it even came with a 64gb SD card installed - though I think this was part of an initial offer but it was most welcome). It comes packaged in an impossibly small carrying case that is half the size of my old models case, while still packing everything above in perfectly.
The drone is below the 250g weight limit, which means less restrictions however you do still need an operators ID (Around £10.33 per year as at time of review) and while a flyers ID (valid for 5 years) is not required it is recommended.
So far I have not found anything I do not like. Everything is an improvement over my previous drone including; build quality, app quality, video and picture quality, aerodynamics and value for money.
I look forward to trying out some of the more adventurous modes as I get more and more confident with it.
In summary I think this is an excellent drone for the money and represents good value, but taking into account the Black Friday deal I think it represents exceptional value for money.
