Screen Issue Makes Whole Thing Useless
While it worked, the product was nice. It played fine with decent sound. But after using it several times a week for just over a year, it's become usable. The screen whites out except for the bottom two lines, so you can't see the selection (see pic). It won't reset and connecting it to a PC doesn't help.It was nice while it lasted, but I did expect it to last more than 14 months before becoming useless. It still plays, but I can no longer control what and it's stuck on the same 4 songs from one album, it plays 10 seconds, then jumps to the next song. The sound quality is still decent, if you can stand 10 second increments of the same couple songs over and over and over again.Edit/Update (#1) - Even though I was two months past the warranty, the company replaced it. Nice. Decent quality, decent sound. Not exceptional, but pretty good and at a fair price. The instructions and manipulation of the data are a bit finicky, but still a decent deal. Still no idea why the other one died. Hopefully it was an isolated incident.Edit/Update (#2) - And the replacement died after 3 months. The switch collapsed and the button is locked pressed in, so you can't use the controls.Overall review - it's okay. But don't plan on it being a long term investment. Treat it as disposable and shop accordingly.
