As an owner of the Pixel 7a, I understand the importance of keeping the display protected from scratches and damage. With that in mind, I recently purchased a set of screen protectors for my device. While I had high hopes for their performance, I must admit that my experience has been rather disappointing. Here's my honest review of the screen protectors for the Pixel 7a.

Furthermore, I found the screen protectors to have an adverse effect on the overall visual experience of my Pixel 7a. The quality of the display seemed slightly diminished, resulting in a slight decrease in screen clarity and brightness. While this may not be a dealbreaker for some, it was certainly disappointing for me, as I value the Pixel 7a's vibrant and sharp display.
On the positive side, the screen protectors did manage to provide a decent level of resistance against fingerprints and smudges. They effectively minimized the accumulation of oils and dirt on the screen, allowing for easier cleaning and maintenance.
In terms of touch sensitivity, I did not notice any significant issues. The screen protectors did not hinder the responsiveness or accuracy of the device's touch controls, which is essential for seamless interaction with the Pixel 7a.
In summary, while these screen protectors for the Pixel 7a had a promising start with their easy installation and reasonable touch sensitivity, they fell short in terms of scratch resistance and impact on display quality. Their susceptibility to scratches, particularly on the first day of use, was a major drawback for me. If you prioritize a scratch-free display and uncompromised visual experience, I would recommend exploring alternative options for screen protection.

Demanding task to Install
Although Google says the Pixel 8 Pro screen is "flat" it does curve just a tiny bit near the edges. Unlike another brand I've tried, this one is cut per the dimensions of the truly flat portion of the screen. (The other brand ended up with a tiny strip of un-adhered protector at the top and bottom because of the curvature.) I'm happy to find a protector that lays flat and sticks from top-to-bottom and side-to-side. I also like that the camera area is hole-punched instead of notched.The dimensions of this protector are very, very close to the exact portion of the glass that is actually display underneath. There is a small amount of play between the mounting jig and the screen protector itself. When installing, I'd recommend bringing up an app that is mostly white so you can tell if you are clipping any of the four sides. If not applied absolutely perfectly, you'll get some rainbow artifacting around the edges as I did on the bottom edge as shown in my picture. And to reiterate, this was applied using the included mounting jig.
