These are solid retractable gel pens. They write really smooth and have a soft silicone grip so they are comfortable to hold. The ink is dark and dries pretty quickly so these are fine for just about any situationThere was some ink leakage in the box when I received them. It seemed like it was coming from a couple of the pens, but it got ink on the other pens so I got ink all over my hands when taking them out of the box and had to clean them before I could use them. I'm sure this happens with all types of gel pens

My parents really like our household to use bold gel pens for writing on the shopping lists so that they can see what's written there without their glasses on. That used to mean that Pilot G2 Bold Gel Pens were our only choice for shopping list pens, but they've been sold out at our local stores for about a year now. Fortunately, I came across these and they're a great dupe!! :)

The one drawback, I guess, is that sometimes the clicker button comes unscrewed. My parents and my husband seemed to think that meant the pens were broken, but I showed them that it just screws right back on. So if you're someone who fidgets absent-mindedly and clickity-click-clicks pens a lot, expect that to happen. And, when it does, remember my review and don't panic - just screw it right back into place and carry on.
