I bought this because my 10yr old was struggling with my gas trimmer in hopes that it would be lighter. After reviewing the spec's it was a full 2lbs lighter, but in practicality, the weight reduction isn't in the correct spot to help him.
I love it though. Far more power than expected and the battery life is what I would expect.

I have a lot of Milwaukee Tools: drills, sanders, leaf blowers and hedge trimmers. So with two M-18 battery packs and charger I took the plunge and bought the mid-range weed-wacker. This tool is well designed, efficient and not too heavy. It’s still not as good as my gas Husquevera but it’s close enough that I prefer it. The battery looses zip after 30-40 minutes, but a quick replace has you going again in seconds. I’ve had others, but this one has an automatic feeder which is a joy for its hassle free use. We live in the Catskills on a mountain, so a weed-whacker is a must have tool.
