See UPDATE at the bottom of this review...When I got my new Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, I knew I wanted a case and screen protector right from the start. This thing is a fairly major investment at well over $700, so I initially went for the tempered glass screen protector. In less than a month, I knew I had made a mistake. Dust and lint got in between the screen and the protector, so my screen was basically always dirty, and the protector actually cracked after a few weeks, even though I didn't drop it or hit it in any way. So I decided to try this one.Based on some of the reviews, I was concerned that it wouldn't fit or would be hard to put on or the case would cause it to come loose or whatever, but I want ahead and ordered it. Boy am I glad I did. If you watch the "official" video and do what it says to do, you will have success. Here is my advice based on my experience.Use a VERY clean work surface. I used a sheet of aluminum foil fresh off the roll to be sure there was no dust or particles on my work surface.Wash your hands with something like Dawn dishwashing liquid to remove as much oil from your skin as possible.Clean the screen until it has absolutely zero dust or fingerprints or blemishes of any kind, then be careful not to touch the screen.As the video states, wet the front AND back of the film. I also sprayed a little on the screen itself. Also, spray your fingertips BEFORE you removed the film from its backing. Don't be stingy with the liquid... There is plenty in the provided spray bottle.Lay the film on the phone. Make sure it is oriented with the correct side down (the side that was stuck to the backing) and the correct end towards the cutouts for the camera and speaker. Don't worry about bubbles and stuff. Just get it close to positioned. Now, quickly, but not rushed, use the provided sqeegee to get the bubbles out. Once you get the big bubbles out, check the position and reposition as needed. Keep removing bubbles and checking position. Don't worry about the curved edges. Trust me on this. Save them for last. Soon, the film will become hard to move (reposition), so make sure you are keeping an eye on the position until it stops moving around. Now use the corner of the sqeegee to get the tiny bubbles out.NOTE: There are two kinds of bubbles... Air bubbles and liquid bubbles. As the film begins to "stick", you want to get BOTH kinds of bubbles out as best you can. That said, do not worry about it if you miss a little bubble here or there. Again, trust me on this. Just do the best you can and don't worry yourself sick or you will wind up screwing it up.Finally, let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. Now you can use your palms or thumbs or whatever to hold the edges down until they stick. You will need to hold the edges down for several minutes, and your palms will not be big enough to do the entire edges at once. To solve this, what I did was I took a pillowcase, put the phone inside, and pulled the pillow case tight around the phone to hold ALL of the edges down at once, and held it there for 5 minutes (the face of the phone should be facing out). Be careful, because doing this is likely to turn the phone on. If that happens, just leave it on and don't worry about it until you are done.At this point, the edges should be pretty much set. I used my thumbs to press down the very, very edges for a few seconds just to be sure.Now here is the important part. You may notice some bubbles, bumps, or whatever. IGNORE THEM. Put the phone down and let it sit for at least 12 hours. After 12 hours, most of the bubbles and bumps will be gone and you can probably use your phone. Over the next 12 hours or so the remaining bumps and bubbles will be gone.If you are patient, you will have a great result. Mine is pretty much perfect, and there are no issues with my case or the touch screen sensitivity. All is good.UPDATE: I am attaching pictures of what this screen protector looks like after about 5 months of rigorous use, in and out of pockets with keys and electronic cigs and change and pens, etc... I use my phone pretty much constantly, including the touch screen. I even put it in and out of a VR headset. It does have a thin rubber case as you can see in the pictures. The screen protector is still firmly "stuck" to the screen. The little "dents" in the screen protector are places where there might have been scratches if I didn't have the screen protector. The dents are no noticable unless you hold it at a certain angle to the light with the screen turned off. Touch screen works as if there was no screen protector. Great product if you ask me.ANOTHER UPDATE: Now over a year of use. The edges are starting to peel back, but I'm still using it without any problem and it is still serving the purpose. When the time comes (when it is peeling back "too much") I will replace it with the same product.
