I don't understand the complaints that it's too thin to wear these shorts in public. The healthy male body is beautiful, and people noticing that you have a penis isn't a negative, unless they're idiots. Get in shape and show off a little. It's liberating and fun. My only issue is that the waist is sized as expected (ordered Medium, I'm 5'10" 155# 31" waist), but the body of the shorts is somewhat baggy. I may try a Small, but then I think the waist will probably be tight. I'd give these shorts 5 stars if the cut were more trim and athletic.

These shorts are VERY comfortable for sleeping and lounging around the house,(briefs or commando). Great cut/fit. No binding in the leg seams. The cut through the crotch is roomy for the boys to move around with support when you bend/sit and not get in a pinch. The waist band is not too wide or too narrow, just right to be comfortable. The waist fits a tiny bit snug but is great so there is no riding up/down; they stay in place. The fabric is very soft and is also sheer so you might want to go with a dark color. These shorts are running/exercise shorts(I do neither),but I do toss and turn a lot while sleeping and these shorts are very close to being in your birthday suit and very comfortable. Highly recommend!!

I bought a pair of these to rock climb in and they have been great. The material is very soft and stretchy and I haven't noticed anything about it being too thin. (I did get them in black so maybe that helps).

Two small cons:
1. The material doesn't look like it will hold up over harsh use (think climbing walls), but I'll take that tradeoff for all of the other benefits. Also, with this price, I think I'm fine with replacing these every year or two
2. The strings used to tighten the shorts are extremely long. If you don't like having to tie these kinds of shorts, that might be an issue. If not tied, you might see a glimpse of the string at the bottom of your shorts from time to time.

I liked these so much, I bought 2 more pairs in case they stop making them. It took me awhile to find a pair of shorts I really liked, so I wanted to have extras.
