i purchased 4 different cases for my new Red Magic 9 Pro. Out of the 4 i have liked this one the most. they are all basically the same and do their job equally BUT i just like the look and feel of this one better than the rest..i think it has something to do with what i call the bat ears ha ha . but this really is a nice phone case.

Already, I've dropped the phone a couple of times with this case on and it's suffered no damage thus far--and I'm a mechanic surrounded my heavy tools, oil and grease all the time. The transparent acrylic back is also a great touch, allowing the phone's beautiful rear design to be showcased while not taking away from the case's durability. The buttons still feel good and clicky with the case on, and the cut outs for the capacitive triggers protect them from being scratched or scuffed from things in your pocket rather nicely.

The good: the textured part of the glass is on the outside making it more fingerprint resistant and feels better, less sticky than smooth glass. The magnet works and is covered with rubber which makes it look better and feel better. Buttons are still clicky

The bad: the protruding things on corners make it too uncomfortable to hold while gaming and also cancel out the protection you would get from the little air pockets on the corner. If you drop your phone it will hit the little horn things which are next to the air cushions meaning the most shock resistant part won't hit the ground and it will just hit the point next to it and bounce off of that. They're also ugly but I thought the benefits would outweigh the ugly pointed corners but they also make the case unusable for me. I specifically got it so I could use a magnetic cooler with it but it's too uncomfortable to game with. Would be a 5 star case if it wasn't for the dumb corners

Both of these broke within minutes of being placed on my phones screen. The first one broke when my phone fell about 1 foot onto my wooden desk and the entire screen protector shattered. Then I put the second one on, placed my phone on the desk face down, and when I picked it up the corner was chipped. Either defective, does not properly fit rm8SPro, or it's junk. I'd try another option instead.

Great slim case that show cases the phone, but still offers good protection.

The loop on the back is magnetic so you can use magsafe products, and it can hold the phone in portrait mode better than any other accessory that's out.

The only two complaints I have is that the ring is not as good at holding the phone propped up in landscape mode. It's stable, but the angle is kind of hard to watch from unless it's on a table that's eye level to you.

And the ring is not comfortable to hold if you are using your fingers to hold it up.

But you can just get a mag safe popsocket or ring and use that for landscape mode and to hold your phone securely with the added benefit of being able to release it easier because the ring on the back can unhinge and make it easier to move magsafe products off.
