Before ordering i was a little concerned about how much actual protection it would offer. However now that i have it I'm not really concerned. The material is thick enough to where it will definitely provide drop protection, while still maintaining a slim form factor. The material is grippy and so unlikely to slip out of your hand.
It also just looks really sharp and eye catching.

Great Case, But Fingerprint Magnet
I really like the Google Pixel 8 Pro official case, that's why I bought three different colorways. It feels great in my hand and the silicone material seems very protective. The colors are also attractive and the subtle metallic accents are a nice touch.However, the honeymoon stage with these cases is about a week or so. After that week goes by the disappointed kicks in. I hate how easily the case shows oily smudges. It seems like any time I touch the back of my phone, it leaves a visible fingerprint or smudge. This is especially noticeable with the darker colors. While I love the look and feel of the case, constantly wiping it down to keep it looking clean is a real hassle.Overall, it's a good case with some drawbacks. If you don't mind wiping down your phone frequently, then it's a great option. But if you're like me and prefer a case that's less prone to smudges, you might want to consider another option like the clear Ringke Fusion (prevents oily smudges) or the Ringkey Onyx (my favorite).Google please bring back the fabric cases 🙏🏼
