    A nice upgrade over the Pixel 7 case if you have that one. The inside has a cloth material that helps keep the phone from getting scratched up. The big win is the exterior material. It's like a soft silicone that feels good to the touch, and adds a little grip, but not so much that it won't easily slide in and out of your pocket.

    I tried a couple of different cases, and I settled on the Google case because it smooths out the abrupt edge of the camera on the back of the phone. It's a little more expensive than some other cases but I prefer a smooth edge for slipping the phone into and out of my pants pocket. If the phone didn't have the abrupt edge, I probably wouldn't use a case, but it is what it is...

    I tried 4 different cases for my Pixel 8. This is how I ranked them:

    1. Spigen Liquid Air
    I love the smooth curves of the case. Just enough grip to avoid slipping out of my hand. The textured power button is a really nice feature, as well as the divided volume buttons. Highly recommended.

    2. Ringke Onyx
    I didn't like the box style edges of the case, but it had good grip and good protection. Divided volume buttons with a small bump for volume up which was nice. The rear texture felt cheap though.

    3. Spigen Thin Fit
    Good protection, but the case is really slippery. Also, comes with a single volume button so you can't differentiate volume up from down with your finger.

    4. Google official case
    No rear camera protection and very slippery. Single volume button. Looks cooler than the others, but I prefer function over form.
