1. Lift up on cover. 2. Place tablet into V shaped holder. 3. Close cover to split tablet. 4. Remove cut half of tablet from dispensing tray. 5. Repeat opening process and remove other tablet half from holding tray when needed. 6. Close cover and store in closed position.

I love the fact that it's clear so you can see when your blade is centered over the pill but what I like best is the way half of the pill jumps out of the cutter into a little tray on the cutter so you can dump it into your hand when I get my next month's prescription I think I'm going to sit there and cut up the whole thing just to watch the pill jump. It jumps out like a frog hopping and I think that is so cool. The first pill I cut did that and I thought well that was weird it must have been a fluke and then I cut a second one and the third one and everyone did that it was then I realized it was designed to do that yeah I know I'm a little slow on the draw, but it's just that I had never seen a pill cutter do that before. I liked it so well I ordered two more because they're on sale for half price down to $2 and a half from $5. Amazon had given me a $5 coupon because of a problem I had with another product they always make everything right that's one thing I can say about them they have the greatest customer service. They always offered me a full refund or a replacement product even both sometimes. And a discount on top of all of it in the form of a coupon. So my second two of these didn't end up costing me anything. I didn't remember I had the coupon until I bought 2 more and it said zero dollars $0.00
If you're looking for a pill cutter you don't need to buy an expensive one just buy these. They work great and they're all on sale for half price so get a few because they're plastic and you know they're going to wear out after a while plus the blades get dull even if they don't wear out. You can get 4 of these for $10 bucks and put them up for later use using one at a time until it no longer works well. I thought you're not going to find them cheaper than $2.50 anywhere. These are just as good as the ones for $10. The $10 ones are still made out of plastic and they still have a blade so they're not going to last any longer. All of them are made in China and $
$2.50 seems about right for a piece of plastic with a little blade. I love the way the 1/2 pill jumps out like a frog🐸 on the other half stays in the case so you won't drop it on the floor. Really smart design.

I've bought many pill cutters in search of the best, this was okay but fell short of the being best by a few annoyances and one big flaw. First and foremost of importance is accuracy in cutting and this has high marks in performance. Cuts true No wonky cuts but as many other reviewers have stated the blade doesn't always cut clean through the pill.

Hard to split pills

The Eze pill splitter is the only one which can easily split a round pill which is scored and has a curved lower surface. One has to align rhs score in the sepration of the cutting surface against the solid v shaped opening and the pill spits evenly. The v shaped surfaces that are made of soft made materials do not work. Excellent for Levothroxine pills.

It doesn’t always cut all the way to the very bottom of the pill. The blade is sharper than some other pill cutters I’ve used, but it is not the sharpest out there. I thought that this was the top choice, but I don’t know if choosing the purple color was the issue because the purple one is a different cutter than the blue one in the photo. One half of the pill can come out of a little opening on the left side, while the right side remains inside. This feature is not that great because you have to shake the cutter at the right angle to get it out. I can just open the cutter and take the half that I need much easier. It will serve its purpose for now, but I will not recommend or repurchase.

For ~$4 you can’t beat the price of this. I have very small (considered almost tiny) pills that are an odd shape (rounded on top, squared at the bottom) and this little pill cutter cuts it pretty evenly in half most times. I like that it has little grippers on the side walls, where the pill fits into place for cutting, this helps the pill not slip around while lowering the blade. It leaves a little residue but the blade is decently sharp so it works pretty well. I read reviews for many different pill cutters and settled on this because of price and reviews. Glad I did. I can tell it’s pretty cheaply made and it probably won’t stand the rest of time, but as I mentioned it works for now and for such a low price I’m happy with my purchase.
