1. Lift up on cover. 2. Place tablet into V shaped holder. 3. Close cover to split tablet. 4. Remove cut half of tablet from dispensing tray. 5. Repeat opening process and remove other tablet half from holding tray when needed. 6. Close cover and store in closed position.

OMG, this is amazing! I have a 2.5 mg prescription that I take a half dose of. I've been cutting them with various sharp knives with limited success. Little pieces frequently fall off or the pill is crushed every when I cut it. I ordered this with moderate expectations based on some of the reviews that said it broke small pills into pieces. I placed the first pill snuggly in the corral and pressed the blade down with slow even pressure. It crumbled. I placed the second pill in the corral and pressed down quickly with full pressure and it was a perfect cut. I continued using this method and every pill was perfectly divided.

For ~$4 you can’t beat the price of this. I have very small (considered almost tiny) pills that are an odd shape (rounded on top, squared at the bottom) and this little pill cutter cuts it pretty evenly in half most times. I like that it has little grippers on the side walls, where the pill fits into place for cutting, this helps the pill not slip around while lowering the blade. It leaves a little residue but the blade is decently sharp so it works pretty well. I read reviews for many different pill cutters and settled on this because of price and reviews. Glad I did. I can tell it’s pretty cheaply made and it probably won’t stand the rest of time, but as I mentioned it works for now and for such a low price I’m happy with my purchase.

The Eze pill splitter is the only one which can easily split a round pill which is scored and has a curved lower surface. One has to align rhs score in the sepration of the cutting surface against the solid v shaped opening and the pill spits evenly. The v shaped surfaces that are made of soft made materials do not work. Excellent for Levothroxine pills.
