Es liegt lediglich keine eigene Software dabei, doch die Webcam funktioniert wirklich mit jedem x-beliebigen Viewer, selbst die Kamera App von Windows lässt einige Einstellungen zu.
Das Bild ist bei ausreichender (Hintergrund)Beleuchtung gut bis sehr gut, so lange man sich nicht allzu hektisch bewegt, denn dann macht sich die einzige Schwäche der Kamera bemerkbar, nämlich der Autofokus, der einfach, ich muss es so deutlich sagen, lahmarschig ist.
Das Bild wird dann zwar wieder scharf, aber es dauert durchaus bis zu drei Sekunden, bis das der Fall ist - der Sound wiederum lag auf dem Niveau, den ich erwartet hatte, aber die Cam ist ja auch nicht dazu gedacht, Musikvideos zu drehen, sondern für Videochats und ähnliches.
Das groß mit "Objektivabdeckung" geworden wird, ist etwas albern, denn ja, es liegt eine solche bei, aber diese muss man auf die Cam aufkleben und manuell betätigen, obwohl das Gehäuse genug Platz für ausreichende Elektronik und Mechanik geboten hätte - insgesamt stört mich das aber nicht sonderlich, da ich Webcams eh immer nur ad hoc verwende, also nicht dauerhaft angeschlossen lasse.
Die Verarbeitung ist allgemein gut, um das Stativ auf höchste Höhe zu bekommen, muss man etwas kräftiger Drücken, aber das finde ich wiederum besser, als wenn es zu wacklig wäre und irgendwann von selbst an Höhe verlieren würde.
Meine Tests mit laufendem Bild waren nicht ganz so schlecht wie bei anderen Leute, die von Fotos sogar richtig gut, wenn auch natürlich nicht auf Smartphone-Niveau.
Insgesamt vier Sterne, die sind angebracht und verdient.
