I wish it locked on, though I’ve managed to bend it in such a way that there’s no force trying to pull it off the monitor. The connector on the cable is significantly deeper than the one on the monitor, so I thought at first it wasn't fully seated, but it was. I’m glad my length requirement wasn’t the full 35 feet, because I measured the cable three times (end of connector to end of connector), and it’s a little over 33 feet, not 35 feet. I’d recommend measuring the distance you need twice (being sure to take into account up and down, in and out, as well as across), then buy 5 feet longer than you think you need.

Was a little worried with all the stuff going around of false advertising that these things wouldn't pass the speeds as claimed. Tested these things out and believe it or not they do 25 ft is a little long to push 8K in my opinion. However, these do work. They are made extremely well. I ordered two of the "Capshi Fiber Optic DisplayPort Cable 100FT, 8K Long DP Cable 1.4" display port cables to connect my living room and bedroom TVs to a media server in another part of my home through an enclosed cable run in the wall. Extra care was taken during installation as this is a fiber cable.

Prompt delivery, sufficient packaging, aesthetic and functional cable braid and strain relief connector, excellent resolution and latency for gaming. Absolutely no complaints until I suddenly lost display signal while using the living room TV. Troubleshooting the issue with secondary display and source narrowed it down to the cable failing. I reached out to the manufacturer and was promptly offered a replacement the same day.
