Doogee smini is a smaller, lighter phone than the majority of 6.5" android phones on the market today. I considered a 3"unihertz jelly star, but even a 4.5" screen is a challenge for texting. This phone is good enough for most every day outings, especially if you typically put the phone in your pants pocket. If I travel or need more business type apps, I can move the sim to my other phone, which has a better camera and plenty of other apps.

For the smini, I'm using it mostly for text, voice, maps, and podcasts. That's the majority of what I need everyday. Email is a lower priority, as I'm more interested in minimalism. Typing on the smaller format is a challenge for longer messages.

The build quality looks good. I'm not sure about Doogee's security updates, but if I stick with the basics, it should be good enough.

I love the size of this phone, fit my small hands, easily fit in pocket. However,
The battery does not last long if you download apps on it.
Texting is difficult with tiny keyboard.
The rubber plug that seals the charging slot making it waterproof would not stay in. I returned phone was going to get the same as I could hold it easily without it flying out of my hand. I returned it almost a month ago, still waiting on refund. Amazon stated a date the refund would be issued, then on the date of refund, they pushed date back 3 more days. I've waited almost a month. Amazon can deliver products in 1 day, but refunds take 1 month, I assume to discourage returns. It is an effective stradegy, tho I will no longer purchase as often from Amazon, & I will no longer tell friends when I see an Amazon truck, "there's my bestie".
They lost a long time happy customer. Tho I'm sure they are ok with that as I am only 1 of millions who purchase from Amazon.
