Fit seems off.
I bought this for my new phone. After reading reviews of this I decided to also buy a better quality glass protector from another company. I did like the look of this one for additional protection and thought the two would go together well.I installed the glass protector, then tried to add this hard phone case. It clipped on okay, but no matter which direction I started from (including the one in the directions) I couldn't monkey the fit so that the volume button section fit correctly. The volume button area kept warping away from the case and the spot it was supposed to connect with. I thought maybe it was the large camera extension and made extra effort to fit around it as tightly as possible...and this particular example still didn't fit correctly.Then I double checked the instructions and it claimed I needed to remove any other glass protectors first. Considering I wasn't very happy with the quality of the built in glass protector (functional but showed fingerprints and didn't seem anywhere close to as protective) I wound up popping the built in glass protector out of this item so I could eliminate that as the cause of my issue. After doing so I attempted to refit, and after double-checking the glass protector was definitely not even in contact with this hard case.I tried to just live with it...but while listening to a video it literally felt like I could just be near the volume buttons and it would start going up and down on its own. This is a new phone, so something else might be going on....but...I kept looking at it and decided that a pinhead sized drop of super glue on the edge of rubber where it would connect with the furrow just above the volume button would hold it in place and the rubber that wasn't fitting right would stay in place. The negative of course being that I'll have to break the glue to get it back off if necessary.On top of these issues the holes in the top of the case don't seem to align well with the microphone or have the same type of speaker cutout as the bottom half. In some ways it almost looks like a Frankenstein case that is designed well on the "bottom" part of the screen end of the phone, and is designed for something else at the top.I think it will do a relatively decent job of protecting it after my efforts, but I'm not sure I'm going to have full access to the top of the phone should I need it. And it took glue to get me where I was happy with the fit.I'm not sure what I expected for the price, but I would have liked one that lined up better and left me with full access to the phones features.
