Read through the reviews and go to the 1-stars first. It did not have a smell as some of the negative reviews said and it was ready to sleep on in like 20 minutes. My back and neck issues from using a 4 inch memory foam topper I found were resolved in about 2 days. The cover is super soft, easy to put on and the sheets dont slide around. Because it is winter I am not sure about temp control but has been perfect thus far.

It wasn’t a big problem for me.
If you are very sensitive about that, I would recommend you open the package first, leave it somewhere else for few days and then use it.

The Casper website shows this: "All our polyurethane foams are CertiPUR-US® certified. They are made without ozone-depleting chemicals and phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The foams have been tested for low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)."... The reality is that I have had this topper for 2 weeks and the strong chemical odor "offgassing" has not disappear as expected. This means it is not low VOC. VOCs are toxic compounds, and the human nose, although not nearly as accurate as specialized testing, should be a good alert that something is not right.

I can't stand it too warm for sleeping and this topper felt like a heater. I got the worst sleep. My husband never ever gets overheated, but even he woke up in the middle of the night all sweaty with wet hair. We actually got up at 2:30AM to pull the thing off and remake the bed so we could sleep. I can't really speak to the pressure level because we just didn't get that far. Disappointed.
