There are two things this phone is good at: processing power to run apps, and battery life. Screen is fine, and the camera is good for a phone.
Unfortunately this phone fails at its most basic function: being a phone.
I work in an area with bad coverage and rely on voice over WiFi, which this phone claims to do, but the overwhelming majority of the time it won't receive or place calls. Even at home, it really struggles. This affects text as well, and frequently messages won't send, or I'll receive messages long after the other person sent them.
The rear screen seemed like a cool feature, but I'm practice it feels like nobody tested it in real use. I can rarely get it to come on when I want, but it regularly comes on in my pocket, changing the display or playing music. Changing the settings don't seem to make the behavior any better. I'm probably going to disable it (as a temperature solution; I'm going to buy another phone to replace this).
The fingerprint scanner was very finicky and unreliable, and has already stopped working entirely. The idea of it being integrated into the power button was cool, but again in practice it doesn't seem to work out. The power button itself isn't very good, and doesn't always respond when I press it. This leads me to question how durable this "rugged" phone really is.
No drops, either, despite this phone being thicc and heavy. It's kindof like putting a brick in your pocket. I'm not really complaining about that part, much as I dislike it, because that's on me for thinking the weight and size wouldn't bother me.
Really disappointed, and not just because of the money and time I've wasted on this--I was hoping for a new device with cool features, and it does not deliver.
