Step1: Separate front frame from back cover prior to installation. Find the rim seam where two edges of front bumper and back cover meet and take the front and the back apart.

Q: What’s the use of the rim seam where two edges meet?

A: It’s designed for letting the front bumper properly and snugly nestled in the back cover, to provide best possible protection against drops.

Step2: Install the hard PC front frame. Please set the top side (front camera side) around the iPhone first, and then attach the bottom side (charging port side). ** Top to bottom installation is crucial for proper fitting of the front piece. DO NOT install the front piece from bottom to top.

Q: Can I install the front piece from the bottom side to the top side?

A: No! Our phone case is not designed to be installed in this order of steps. You will be unable to install the front bumper starting from the bottom side, finishing with the top side. You must follow the order of steps through our instructions.

Step3: Install the soft TPU back cover. Snap the front piece tightly into place with the back cover.

Q: I feel it is a little tight to install the back cover. Is it normal?

A: Yes,it is normal. As both the front bumper and the back cover are designed, through high gloss finish manufacturing process and the electrostatic drag occurs when the case is installed to fit the iPhone, you may first need to give a little more physical force at installation. With the proper steps, a final, snug fit should result.

Step4: Make sure you align the edges of the front piece and the back piece, and then gently press the rim seam to let the front bumper properly and snugly nestled in the back cover.

Q: How to quickly install this 3in1 case?

A: A 3in1 case such as this may occasionally require a few attempts at installation to get the hard bumper and the silicone cover to sit just right together. If you feel it is hard to install the case at first, please remove the case and re-install it. A few attempts may help to make installation easier, for a best, final fit.

Step5: Install the tempered glass protector piece onto the iPhone screen.

Q: Must I install both tempered glass protectors onto the iPhone screen at the same time?

A: No! We offer two pieces of tempered glass screen protectors, one for the instant use and the other one for the backup.

So I have used this case on my IPhone XR for FOUR years and just bought a second one for the same phone. That probably says it all. The thing works. It’s small. It protects from the worst drops and smashes. And my phone looks brand new. After 4 years.

The case will yellow a bit over time but who cares? It’s easily the best case I ever owned and this is my 3rd iPhone.

Pay attention to how you put the thing on, and definitely use the screen protector (you won’t notice it’s there until you crack your first one, which will lead to panic and then relief once you realize your screen has been saved). The quirky setup is worth every minute of learning how to do it. Was able to put my new one on in seconds.

If this fits your phone, go for it. You’ll be happy.

I am thrilled to see that this clear, sturdy cell phone case has a 2 piece design which will prevent the case from separating on the edges as my last two phone cases have. A rigid plastic frame sits next to the edge of the phone with the softer case slipping over it. No more problems with the case falling apart!

Decent for an economy iPhone Case

I own an iPhone XR - "(Product) Red". I've tried over a half dozen cases. I am discerning as most haven't met my expectations (one case I almost immediately tossed into the trash - I finally did throw it away on the 3rd day). I also like cases that have clear backs to display the color of my iPhone.

With that knowledge about the reviewer, here are my thoughts:

Pros:
(1) Clear back - as I just said, I prefer that so I can see the color of the phone.

(2) I prefer cases that have a rubber or TPU back over Poly-Carbonate (PC) - aka plastic - because I feel it provides a softer, more cushioned landing if dropped.

(3) Tactile side buttons - they work (several cases I've owned made it difficult or impossible to use the side buttons).

(4) This case comes with (2) tempered glass screen protectors - MUCH better than plastic covers of the all-in-one cases.

(5) PC side frame - the sides of TPU are always the first part of a TPU case to discolor and turn yellowish. The PC frame of this case essentially hides and conceals this area as it starts to discolor. As for real "protection", I doubt the PC really does much (the PC frame fits inside the TPU so you have a "soft rubber bumper" that surrounds the iPhone).

Cons:
(1) The TPU does yellow over time - personally I haven't yet found an anti-yellowing TPU.

(2) The tempered glass protector fits like a glove - that's great - but it's hard to put on b/c of the tight fit (instructions say the screen is the last component to be put on).

(3) The red case - it's bright red. In sunlight it looks like a red-orange color. It does contrast a bit with the red iPhone but the contrast isn't as annoying indoors (the color contrast is acceptable but not ideal). If a color match is critical for you, then **do not** buy this case.

(4) Opening the case takes a specific technique, it can be hard, and you must follow the technique or you risk breaking the plastic PC frame (if the PC frame breaks, the TPU part of the case will not fit so the entire case is obsolete).

(5) There's a trade-off in protection versus keeping a case slim. I prefer a slightly deeper "rim" on the top to protect the front of the iPhone (I'd prefer another 1mm or so of depth to keep the front of the phone from contacting the ground/floor if dropped face-down).

Summary:
For an "economy" case - it's not bad - it does provide basic to moderate protection. It will NOT protect like an Otter Box or UAG case (among other premium brands), but in most cases you can buy 3-4 of these cases for the price of one premium. If you change cases regularly, this is worth considering. If you want a case you plan to leave on for a year, or two or three, choose a premium brand.

I'd rate this about 3 3/4 stars, rounded-up to 4-stars.

I don't usually write reviews, but this is a great phone cover and protector. I dropped my phone several times and the glass did not break. The cover is actual glass and makes very good contact with the touch screen. My phone still looks like new on the inside because the cover protects it really well.
The front glass finally broke when my phone got squished against a rock. But again, the actual phone had no damage, only the cover and so I'm getting a new one now. Definitely recommend this! BP

Unfortunately this case does turn yellow over an extended period of time and I now am having to replace this case with a new one. It does well absorbing shock and damage and things like that, however unfortunately the back of my phone still cracked, it is an older model however so I wasn’t too concerned.
