I purchased this toner as a replacement for the HP and it has worked very well. The instructions on how to remove the chip and place it in the toner are clear and easy to follow. My printer does read an error message, but this is a work toner and I appreciate the reduced price and the quality printing is great.

Do yourself a favor and do NOT buy these "replacement" cartridges. What is not explained is the following:
1. They send you a few tools. With these tools you have to remove the original chip from the HP cartridge and place it into the Aztech cartridge. It is like doing microsurgery. The chip is tiny and almost impossible to see. Lucky to not lose it in the process. Then have to insert the tiny chip into the Aztech replacement cartridge slot which is also microscopic. IF you manage to get the old chip inserted into the new Aztech cartridge chances are the HP printer will not be able to read it. I have spent at least 2-hours and it still does not work. TOTALLY MISLEADING PRODUCT AND A VERY FRUSTRATING NIGHTMARE!

Toner was working fine for 2 months. But eventually my printer gave me an error message to replace cartridge and the only way to clear the error was installing a new toner with a new chip. I wish these toners would work, but they are a waste of money because they don't come with new chip.

We have high volume printing, and the price is phenomenal, for 2 cartridges - can't beat it anywhere. I've used this company's cartridges for 3 years now, and never had any problems. Customer service is outstanding! Removing the chip and reinserting it, can be slightly tricky, but once you get the hang of it, pretty easy. Follow the instructions, and make sure you put the chip in the correct away - per instructions - otherwise your printer won't read the cartridge and you will have the same complaint as "Nightmare" :-). All you need to do is change the chip around, and it'll work. Love these cartridges!!!

This cartridge is a great and affordable alternative to HP's very overpriced OEM toner cartridges. It's certainly somewhat of a hassle to remove the chip from the HP and install it in the Aztech cartridge but not a significant one. I note no discernible difference in print quality. The cartridge admittedly feels cheap and flimsy compared to the OEM cartridge but this doesn't seem to affect print quality. I can't speak to longevity but tentatively gave this 4 stars as I've never had a generic/non-OEM cartridge last as long as an OEM cartridge and intend to update my review when I have reliable information (assuming I somehow remember to).
