I was looking for an inflatable that I could use at the lake for sunbathing and general relaxation, and I was anxious to try it out.
While it took a long time to inflate with an air pump, it certainly wasn’t that difficult of a process. I would caution against trying to inflate this with just your lungs; it takes more air than you think and while not impossible, is certainly not the best use of time.
This occupies a great footprint of size and is very comfortable to lay in as someone who is just under six feet tall. With both the inner inflatable and outer tube inflated, my head and legs went just out over the edge. Impressive!
Since firmness can be adjusted by how much air you put in, comfort can be tailored to your personal preference. I have had some trouble in the past with inflatables sticking too you, and I am happy to report that due to the complex pattern on the inner-inflatable, it doesn’t press against you especially when inflating to a very firm point.
I took this out to the lake to really see what it was capable of and put it through a very stressful environment. Mind you, this inflatable wasn’t advertised for use in a lake, but I wanted to see how it would hold up to the environment.
I went to a local state park with a rocky bottom and did some sunbathing. Currents kept pushing me back to shore and the bottom of the inflatable was scraping against the bottom. I put it through this environment for roughly an hour and it held up remarkably well! There wasn’t any damage done to the product and I didn’t have to use a patch kit!
Since the product wasn’t advertised to do this, I wouldn’t recommend you try this. I just mention it to demonstrate how well made it i, especially for the money.
If you have access to a large pool and want a large inflatable that doesn’t feel like it’s going to capsize, this is a great option that I highly recommend!
