I put it directly on iPhone 12 - bumpy case inner
Update 7/6/24: I've been using this for a few months now. I haven't had any problems with it. It does make it harder to charge my phone with my particular case b/c the ribbon sticks out where the charger goes and limits the space. It's not a big deal. I don't love the way the cord lengthens b/c it's not like similar mechanisms so it still surprises me but that's also not a big deal. All in all, it works for what I need it to, I can remove it, and it has the lengths I need. Solid 4 stars (up from 3.)I don’t have a lot of faith in the design of this product. I bought it to wear on long walks so I didn’t always have to wear shorts with pockets and keep changing clothes all day. I’m worried the ribbon part will just pull out one day and my phone will fall on concrete and my screen will break. I attached it directly to my phone because the inside of my case is bumpy and I didn’t think the sticker would hold. I wish I had just returned it instead of trying it. I fear it will end up being a costly mistake, ironically because I was trying to protect my screen in the first place.
