I really have conflicting views on this food. First though, my dog seems to love it - and he's picky; that's a good sign. The brand, Bully Max, generally gets excellent ratings on one of the big dog food rating websites, also a good sign.Marketing, however, seems questionable; "Wet Dog Food" is part of the name - but this is not a traditional wet dog food like most people think of wet (canned) food. This is a dehyrated food that needs to be rehydrated to make it "wet".Next, this brand is generally marketed towards "bully dogs" - think Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs, Bulldogs, and various Bull terriers; many of these are large dogs. Each of these bags contains 910 grams of dehydrated food, so consider that a single bag has about 22 scoops of food (with the included 41 gram scoop). Now look at the recommended feeding guidelines (picture included) and you'll soon discover that a single bag of this food won't even make one serving size for a 90-100 pound dog! At $72.87 for 3 bags, you're looking at over $24 PER MEAL if you feed the recommended serving size for a large 90 pound dog!!So even though this food has great ingredients and is nutritionally complete, it really isn't a practical dog food for anyone to be using on its own. Instead, this should really be marketed as a food topper or supplement. I have chosen to mix this food with dry kibble; I typically use two scoops of this dehyrated food combined with two "scoops" of warm water. This is what I've included pictures of; that basically makes about a half cup of rehyrated "wet food".
