We used the new Brits Plus water filter in our existing Brita pitcher and it fit the old model.In fact it looks exactly the same, but the color is a light grey.The water tasted good, similar to the original Brita filter, but they say this one takes out more contiments.Our water seems to have high chorine from the city and I felt it was doing a little better job removing that taste and smell.You can see the different colors of the filters. Left one is Brita+ and the Right one is the original Brita Filter

I thought I'd give these upgraded filters a try, since they were only a few dollars more. But what a difference I've noticed in our water's quality - pretty much tasteless, pure water now. The old Britta filters were great, but these make our water noticably better. Better for our coffee tea and other drinks, too. Even the dog drinks more water. Our coastal town's water has a chlorine taste on its own, no one drinks it as is from the tap.

Purchased one of the Brita water pitchers with the filter and indicator light. Thought I'd better have some new filters on hand when replacement is required. Still waiting for the first filter to indicate that it needs changing! Anyway, the tap water is boiled and then goes through the Brita filter when cooled. That's based on a personal preference. I keep a glass pitcher of fresh filtered water in the refrigerator and it tastes great! Funny thing was, I ran out of my filtered water and grabbed a bottle of water (in plastic) and immediately noticed the difference in taste. No more bottled plastic water for me. Enjoying my Brita filtered water!
