Product Description

Get cleaner*, great-tasting water for longer with the Brita Elite Pitcher Replacement Filters which remove 99% of Lead* in your water and reduces 30 contaminants. This long-lasting water filter is made with Advanced Carbon Core Technology to reduce more than 3x the contaminants of standard Brita filters. The Brita Elite replacement filter reduces Lead, Asbestos, Mercury, Benzene, Cadmium, and more*. Change the Brita Elite filter every 120 gallons, about every 6 months for best performance**. The pull top cap makes insertion and removal easy. With activated carbon to reduce chlorine taste and odor, this water filter delivers great-tasting water and maintains a healthy level of fluoride (applies to fluoridated municipal tap water). The fibrous matrix in the filter holds active ingredients in place so no black flecks appear in your water. One Brita Elite filter can replace up to 900 16.9 oz single-use plastic bottles and reduces more contaminants vs. PUR and ZeroWater (based on NSF/WQA certifications for Brita OB06, PUR PPF951K, and ZeroWater ZF-201 pitcher filters as of 8/17/21). *Cleaner vs. tap water. Healthier based on health contaminant reduction per WQA certifications. Substances reduced may not be in all users water. See certifications. **Approximate timing based on 120 gallon (454 litres) lter life and average family usage of 11 glasses per day. ^Versus standard 16.9 oz bottled water. No single-use plastic bottle waste.

I went back and forth in my mind as to whether to continue buying the standard filters or to try the Elite. I think the water quality is better with the Elite. They certainly last longer. I can tell that the interior of the standard filter starts to mold at the end of its life. This filter has been in my pitcher for about 2 months, and the water quality is the same as when I first put it in. I have not used any drinking water except for filtered water for the past 15 years and it makes a big difference. It tastes better and there are things in tap water that no one should ingest. I use it for tea and coffee as well as just plain water. My cousin also filters all the water he uses and says the same thing. You cannot guaranty the quality of the water that comes through the tap unless you purify it. With the exception of Fiji, most of the bottle water is nothing but plain tap water. It is not filtered in any way and if you read the labels, it is chlorinated. So you can either use a filter or take your chances. Think of all the plastic bottles that are not ending up in landfills. You can recycle your filters.

We really like this product! But I am very disappointed in how it was delivered-the box was all bent up and torn. Surely, Amazon, you can do better than that.

Although they filter water through a bit slower than the standard type, it’s worth the wait! More impurities are filtered out and the water tastes much better. Plus, these filters last for 6 months instead of 2 with the regular ones. Once you do the math, you’ll find they are worth a bit more.

Like the product, but was totally shocked at the condition of the shipping bag and the product's box. Looked like it had been run over a couple times. Box containing filter was squashed, and torn in 3 places. Good thing the shipping bag stayed sealed. Never had anything take 12 days to arrive and never had anything arrive in this condition. Was surprised. But the filter works just fine. The inner package inside the box was not damaged.

It is slow to fill, but worth it! The taste is so obvious! We all noticed it right away compared to the typical white filter I used to get. This absolutely changed the taste of our tap water! It actually taste more crisp! Make sure you get it in snug or it will pop out and you won’t realize it. Next thing you know… you’ve filled your water container with just tap water and bypassed the filter. If it fills fast, it’s not in right. It’s much shorter than the old filter. I just made sure I put it in right and made sure it was snug and had no issues after that. I do check under the lid just in case before filling it just in case, but worth it! So far it’s lasted a few months and we go through a lot of water! A lot! 5 stars for the filtering out. 3.5 for the slowness if it and fit.

Since using these I am obsessed with my water at home. I use a simple Brita pitcher - I also have well water so sometimes it doesn't last 6 months but they are still worth it. I live in a chilly area so I don't put it in the fridge (limited space in there) but to make it last longer if I go away I keep it in the fridge to keep it from drying out. I have also taken it out of the pitcher and put in a ziplock bag, left it upright in the fridge to keep it from drying out or getting stinky (idk if that happens but I would hate to have to buy one if the previous was new and got dried out). We are getting another full house filter but I doubt the water will taste as good as this makes it ...

I've been using these filters for some time now. I have horrible desert water - overly treated and heavy. These filters make the water good enough to drink but they last about 3 months before an odd taste develops. Still cheaper than bottled water and tastes just as good, though it's not Evian lol. I suppose if you had more pristine sources of water you might get away with 4-5 months, but I think 6 is a stretch.

So I have only had them for 2 months and so far so good with only one filter. We are a family of 7so we go through a lot of water but by far this filtered water taste the best. The price is good easy to use and the flow is fast! Depending on how long they last I may keeping getting them. It’s says 2 should last 1 year so every 6 months for 1. I may only get 4 months because of how we use them. The size is like the others and I just rinse them under the water for a bit before we use them.

5.0 out of 5 stars better longevity

I haven't tried the blue filters until late last year. It obviously lasts way longer than the white ones. Also, I found it is more durable/effective than the white ones. When I place the pitcher with the white filter out of the fridge for longer days, the water would have some odour. However, it seems that this haven't happened when I replace it with the blue ones.

There is no price difference between major retail stores like Walmart. However, if you buy this option, you can reduce waste by not discarding filters every two months. However, it doesn't last 6 months as advertised, or at least not in my case.
