For years I’ve been looking for a sunscreen for my combination skin that wasn’t too heavy, greasy, and without the white cast from the zinc oxide. After looking on the Environmental Working Group website (EWG.org), and seeing that this product received top scores and is an effective sunblock for UVA & UVB, I decided to give it a try. The tint is very sheer and it goes on well being a thin consistency, rather than a thick cream. I am very happy with this product. Finally, something that doesn’t slip and slide around my face. I use another zinc oxide sunscreen that’s more of a cream or “moisturizing” product for my arms and neck. Until the FDA approves the more advanced sunscreen ingredients that is available in Europe and other advanced countries, 100% zinc oxide is the way to go for us in the U.S.

It’s like it’s the same exact formula. It’s so incredibly lightweight, and blends in so beautifully with the skin. I cannot even feel it on my skin. And the finish is so incredibly soft. I bought both the tinted and non tinted version and both are so amazing. No white cast or anything. Truly impressed. I've been using this product for about 4 months and plan to purchase it again. This product doesn't leave a white cast on me, but I am fair skinned so it could be different on darker skin tones. The product is a little runny but it rubs into my skin well and has a moisturizing effect. I layer my makeup over it and like the dewy undertone it gives my skin. The smell is not great but doesn't bother me once I've applied it. I'm grateful that I found a clean product that works so well with my combination skin!

I used this sunscreen on a 2 week vacation in Hawaii. The weather was low 80's every day. This sunscreen was just the worse. It melted off my face during walks and one day it was running into my eyes so much that I had to stop at a resort to wash the sunscreen off my face. I always wear a hat and sunglasses when I'm out so I can tell if a sunscreen works or not when I don't seen any sunglasses tan lines at the end of my vacations. On this trip, I had those sunglasses tan lines. I have used other sunscreens that do work except this time I thought I would try it after an influencer on You Tube was highly recommending it. Well, it didn't work for me.

-slight white cast...it wasn't huge for me because my skin is as pale as the white city of Gondor, but for a person of color it would be much more significant.

This is an easy to apply, relatively lightweight mineral sunscreen that feels lovely on the skin. Because it's mineral-based, it leaves a slight white cast, so plan to apply it about 45 minutes before you're leaving indoors so it has time to absorb into the skin. Once it absorbs, there's no more white cast. All-over coverage is easy, but be sure to apply enough. I've seen in numerous places that the required minimum amount is one-quarter teaspoon for your entire face, enough to place one line of product on each of your index, middle and ring fingers. I try to use a bit more than that to achieve maximum protection after having laser resurfacing. If need be, measure out at least a quarter teaspoon. A pea-sized dot won't protect you anywhere near SPF 50. And be sure to shake the product well before measuring it out and applying it. It won't protect you properly unless the ingredients are well-mixed.

First off I'm very sensitive to smells and I wanted to try this because of the clean ingrediants and fragrance free.
The ingrediant smell is just that, a barely there only smell it when you're 2mm away from it type of smell. I have zero issues with this product. It's also truly non greasy. It needs about 2 min to set but you will not feel oily, greasy or dewy if that's what you want. It's just moisturizing enough to help with slightly dry skin but it won't quench parched skin if you need that.
It's absolutely everything I've been looking for. Thank you BB for making this.
I will however probably order from BB website, there's no safety seal and although it doesn't look tampered with I feel better getting direct from the company.
I ran all the ingrediants on cosmily website as I do with all my cosmetics and I'm satisfied with the results. I don't feel it's toxic or will cause problems for me. If you have a glutin allergy stay far far away though.
