Many either don't adhere well or have a black border on the edges due to P8's strange glass dip at the very edges. I did tons of reading and decided to give this one a try. This kit comes well-packaged, and with a clear instructional video available at the company's website. The quality of the protectors seems about as good as one would need: I took my keys and some scissors and tried to scratch them and it didn't seem to leave any visible mark. It has a frame to help with alignment, and that's certainly useful.

But in the end--for me--it still didn't give a result that I liked better than not having a screen protector. If you look around you'll find people talking about how the curved edges of the Pixel 8 make it tough for screen protectors. If they go all the way to the edge of the curve, it's going to be hard to get a good adhesion (as was the case for me..."bubbles" I couldn't get out were issues of the edge not making a connection). If they don't go to the edge, then you have a weird extra rim that illuminates strangely, on top of the weird edge of the curve itself.

A similar tradeoff comes up with the cameras. You either have a hole left for them in which case you get another weird outline of a circle on your screen, or there's no hole and you're compromising your expensive camera's quality to some extent. I found I really didn't like the hole--which is about twice the size of the camera circle. Altogether I liked the experience of my phone better without it, and I feel my case provides enough protection--so I'm not using these.

The covers arrived in perfect condition and contained everything I needed to apply them. I was able to easily apply the protector. But after I did, there were tons of bubbles and dust. I kept having to lift the cover to remove the particles and bubbles before I could finish the application (for reference, I applied another brand’s cover to a second phone and did not experience this difficulty). It was annoying, but it simply took extra effort to get it right. The protector has been great now.

So far, this screen protector is top-notch.

It has a really slick feeling. My fingers kind of glide on it. I have had little to no issues with finger oils sticking to the screen. It does not get dirty easily. My last screen protector had a notch for the front camera, and it broke around the notch within a few days. This screen protector also has a notch, but has shown no signs of cracking and there are no scratches on it.

My last screen protector made the fingerprint scanner really inaccurate and hard to use. I have had NO issues using the fingerprint scanner with this screen protector.

It's as easy to install as any other screen protector. It came with a plastic guide that fits around the front of your phone. There is no guide for the rear screen protector, though. It also comes with a rag to clean the screen, stickers for dust particles, and some alcohol wipes.

The rear screen protector is small and kind of hard to apply. I can't really say how effective it is, but I don't have a broken camera glass, so I guess it's working! My case has a little bulging around the rear screen protector because it pushes against the edges of the case, but it still fits fine and the rear screen protector hasn't come off.

The front screen protector fits perfectly without it touching the phone's case.

Like most screen protectors, this one does not cover 100% of the screen, but more like 96-98 percent of it. This is to avoid dust from getting under the edges of the protector, due to the edges of the screen on your phone not being flat. This is a good thing.

It came with more than one screen protector in the box, so I'm pretty sure this is the last screen protector I will have to get for this phone, and for that, I am grateful.
