I was looking for a reasonable priced parka. I was surprised to find this and I must admit the coat is fantastic. I have had this for over three months. It's comfortable, warm and well made. I love the pockets especially the main front pockets that zip. The only issue is that the hood can not be detached. But that is a small issue. I am extremely happy with this purchased.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )

It is rare for me to be surprised by products. The ones that do are usually those that you have really low expectations on in the first place, but somehow pull off a surprise either quality wise, a hidden feature, or thoughtfulness in the products design that was not talked about on the product information. This Amazon Aware parka is one of those products that surprised me!

When I received the package I was caught off guard by the weight of the package. From the images and no where in the description does it talk about the jackets filling. I thought is was more of a shell with lining, but this jacket has a thick batting and quilted lining on the entire interior of the jacket, as well as the hood. That is what added so much weight to the jacket. As some other reviewers have noted, the jacket runs big... To be fair, the description does say that it is a relaxed fit jacket, so I can't say that the sizing it wrong, but from looking at the product images, it looks trimmer on the model because the waist cord is cinched to make it look less boxy and big. I normally wear a medium and got a medium. There is still room for layers of clothes for cold days, so if this is how you intend to wear it, it'll work out well. If you are thinking of wearing the jacket over just your shirt, you might want to size down.

The jacket is exactly as it looks in the product images so what you see is what you get. No pinning of material to make it look trim when it actually has enough to create a sail. I like that it looks like a field jacket but with more modern and stylish elements to it. The exterior shell is made of a recycled polyester fabric which is soft, yet feels tough enough to resist mild abrasions, snags or tears. Sew quality was very good.

The chest pockets and waist pockets are have snap closures which is to be expected. There is a vertical, zippered slash pocket on the side of the waist pockets to keep your hands warm and also keep your items from falling out. The zippers are a nice touch that wasn't expected, but appreciated. A large tooth zipper makes closing the jacket easy and there is a snap storm flap to seal it off from wind and rain. One thing to note is that since this jacket runs big, the sleeves may or may not fit your arm length. There is no snap, button or Velcro strap to hold the cuff at your wrist if the sleeves are long so, with your arms down, they will just droop unless you take them up. Another thing that could be improved is the hood. (1) It might have been done so the keep the styling of the jacket clean, but there is no drawstring on the hood. If it is windy outside, the hood will likely catch the wind and blow off your head. Also, it might add to the price, but it would have been nice if you could unzip the hood for when you don't need it, but then, I guess they would have to put some sort of a collar on the jacket. . .

On the inside of the jacket, I was again surprised by the number of pockets to store things in. On the left breast, there is a zippered slash pocket to hold things like your wallet or phone. Then, there are two large interior mesh waist pockets. There is a waist cinch cord to reduce some of the boxiness of the jacket and also trap body heat in the upper portion of the jacket on cold days.

This has been one of those products that actually surprised me and proved to exceed my expectations of it. A solid jacket at a fair price.

This is an excellent cold weather jacket that is well insulated including the hood.
I wish I had come across this jacket on Vine earlier as I’ve just purchased a new winter jacket in November.
I’m 5’10” and 155 lbs of normal build and I’ve selected Size M and fits well with right amount of room for layering.
I probably do not need to layer underneath as the jacket is well insulated.
Zipper moves up and down without any biding at all.
I like that coat has many usable pockets on outside as well as inside.
There are 6 pockets on the outside (4 front pockets and 2 side entry pockets) and 3 pockets inside (1 zippered pocket and 2 large pockets)
I’ve tried on the coat few times in the 30F+ temperature and it does keep me very warm.
Looking forward to wear this jacket in full winter.
