Good value for a budget money rangefinder

Good value for a budget money rangefinder
So I have used this new range finder for a few rounds of golf so far and it has overall been pretty good for the price paid. I was able to compare it to my TGW Range Finder that has a slope function. My TGW was more than twice the price and I wouldn't say it was twice as good as this one. Maybe slightly more accurate but not much really. It is very easy to use and to scope distances. The case it comes in is really nice and having a rechargeable battery is a really nice feature.Pros:Really nice carrying case that has a zipper and a bungee cord to shut which is nice when you are pooping it back in the case after scoping a distance.Has a pin seekerWas very fast to lock and give a distanceRechargeable battery that hasn't moved at all in my only 3 rounds with itCons:Distance would tend to move around a few yards so would need to shoot 2 to 3 times to confirmPin Seeker could be finicky sometimes

I've been using this for a few seasons and it's pretty accurate, including the adjustments for uphill/downhill. I've left it in my bag over the winter and gone back out in the summer and haven't charged it for a while, kind of waiting to see how long I can go without charging it just see how long it lasts.

I bought this item 6 months ago and used it 20+ times before writing this review.

First, the battery life. It lasted about 9 rounds and I used it at least once on each hole before it needed a charge. I love the fact that it's rechargeable with any Micro HDMI plug so you can connect USB/HDMI to the golf cart if need to.

Second, accuracy. I have friends using the well known name brands and this one measured +/- 2 yards. So it's pretty good for me.

Overall, the item is lite and compact. It's extremely easy to use and it's small enough to fit in your front/back pockets while you hit. This is a big plus for me since many of my friends have left their range finders on the course after they hit near the green.

I'd highly recommend this product!

Got this as a gift for my husband. He took it to the driving range to play with and check its accuracy. He said it was easy to use and within a margin of error to meet his needs. Much less expensive than the one he bought our daughter so I was pleased

Was weary of a cheap range finder, but was pleased to find out that it works just like any other range finder, for the most part.

At the click of a button, you get quick, accurate yardage. It locks onto the flag swiftly and gets the job done. As for the battery life, it's very good. It seems like I rarely ever charge it, as I leave it in my golf bag most of the time.

My main criticism would be that sometimes in high wind or in crowded conditions (trees, objects, etc), it struggles to lock onto the flag, and it needs several attempts to finally get it. Other than that, it works like any other range finder and will be a helpful tool on the course.

I think that this product is excellent for its price. It is more that 1/4 the price of my current Bushnell and works as well, if not better. My Bushnell began to fail to accurately shoot flags on greens, with repeated presses ( up to seven) to get a reading and often it was not close to being accurate. I took a gamble with this scope, not expecting much, but I could always send it back. I am going to keep it. It works very well. One press to turn it on and then a second press to get a reading including slope. If you press it longer it activates the pin seaking feature and it then will vibrate and buzz when the flag is found. It is accurate to a tenth of a yard. The device is light, well made, does not feel cheap and it works. Good Bye Bushnell!

First time on the golf course, 6 holes in it decided to crap out on me. The first six holes all was fine, after that the yardages went crazy, showing 500, 600, 700+ yards when it clearly should have been less than a 150 yds. The item is garbage and should not be purchased.

I have hesitated to buy a rangefinder because I was concerned about spending hundreds of dollars for one only to discover that it was difficult to lock on the flag instead of a tree or something else, or that it was time consuming to do so. I chose the ACEGMET laser rangefinder because of the reasonable price and excellent reviews, and I couldn't be happier with it! It easily locks onto the flag in a few seconds, and doesn't take as long to use as a golf app on your phone and is more accurate than the Garmin G20 watch I've been using because the watch doesn't know where the flagstick is located. If you are considering buying a laser rangefinder for the first time, this is an excellent choice. And I don't see what advantages a much more expensive one would have, other than to "impress" your friends with your expensive name-brand scope.

Update: After using this rangefinder for an entire golf season, I again strongly recommend this scope. When I've played with others who had far more expensive rangefinders, our distances were practically the same, and any difference is probably attributable to one of us standing a yard or two closer or further away. I have made the mistake of accidentally setting it to meters instead of yards, but that was on me. As others have said, RTFI (Read the Flipping Instructions)! Holding the blue button down will switch the unit of measure, but it's all user error. It's not a bad idea to make sure its on the unit you want occasionally, but the unit is very accurate.

And yes, a charge lasts for many rounds! I don't remember the last time I charged it, so I'm going to do so now. Hit 'em straight!

I got this on prime day and i think it was worth it compared to the more expensive brands like Callaway. Im a casual golfer and this thing fits my needs in every way. Very easy to use, you just hit the button to turn it on, point at flag and hold the button and it shows the yards and even an adjusted yardage based on slope. Ive taken it to the driving range and it was very close to what their yardages said, never off more than 2 yards. With that being said, 2 yards doesnt kill me because like i said before, im a casual golfer and id hit exactly 100 yards 1 out of 50 tries. Great item
