I did finally get my protection plan reimbursement, but it was a serious workout, taking more than 10 email exchanges (the first 10 all very polite, the final one a formal complaint) over a 2 month period. I am going to write this one off as a "one off", and will hope for a better experience should I ever need to file a claim again. Word to the wise, file all of your purchase documents and warranty docs and instructions outside of AMAZON, clearly and smartly labelled. If I had not kept good independent records, I seriously question whether or not I would have prevailed in the end. Again, hoping this was an anomaly experience. Rooting for Asurion to do better next time.
I dropped my phone by accident. I cracked my screen. Asurion quickly resolved my claim. I received a gift card on Amazon to replace the phone that was damaged. I Was very satisfied with the politeness and professionalism of the Asurion representative. I have used Asurion for years to protect my phones and have always had good response when a problem has arisen with damage.
So far it's fine but if in the next 2 years I need to use it that'when the real test will happen. As of right now it's just an assurance that they will fix my phone. Will update review if I ever use this.
I had the cell phone less than a year before it broke. I contacted the insurance to give me the refund, just like the policy said it would. No more than after 2 days, from when I shipped it, they refunded the money into my Amazon account.
My phone stopped turning on. I contacted them and they said I needed to register the plan. The welcome email I got when I first bought it said nothing about this. Part of the registration was to provide the imei. Difficult with a phone that won’t turn on and no original box (it was a refurbished item). They were not helpful at all and refuse to honor their plan. I’m very disappointed and advise against getting this
