3.0 out of 5 starsSquirly cable - Too early to rate Durability
Reviewed in Australia on 21 December 2023
Quality of this cable seems okay so far. It does have one characteristic which is concerning/interesting, which is that the cable has very low torque resistance, presumably due to both weight and rigidity of sheathing material.
This results in the cable getting very "squirly" very easily. Though I can't decide if that's a good or bad thing just yet. The negative aspect so far is that due it's proclivity to tangling it eats away at the length of the cable when the cable has no tension.
One potentially positive aspect is whether this might serve to alleviate trauma through kinking, thus increasing it's longevity.
I'll have to assume at this point that the weight of the cable plays a large part in this as it appears as though there isn't enough collective weight at either end to tension the cable which results in spooling at the centre. I can say for sure that it's an inconvenience for my particular use-case scenario, but it might also be a reasonable compromise for the benefit of cable durability.
Conclusion so far:
+Sound quality seems good.
+No interference.
+/- Lightweight cable/Sheathing
? Durability yet to be determined
-Cable does have noticeably higher physical contact sound conductivity
