I love this book. I definitely see the hype for this one!

I love these characters. I saw myself so much in Tiernan. I enjoyed watching her growth and experience life. Shes lost and simply wants to find her place in the world and she finds it with people she didn’t even know existed until now. I enjoyed watching her open up and let herself feel, but also receive what she’s always been craving, something that each of us crave and that love. Jake, Noah and Kaleb come with their own baggage. Jake is resentful and feels stuck in place by the events that lead him there. Noah feels trapped and like he’s alone surrounded by his family. And kaleb is living with trauma that happened to him when he was younger.
I love Noah. He’s definitely a standout character for me and I was happy he got his dream come true at the end. He’s very insightful and brings out the emotions the others are trying to run from. He gives them perspective and I just wanted to hug him so bad. You could feel his lonely soul. He tried compensating it with sleeping with the whole town but he ended up just resenting himself. I hope to see him get his HEA at some point. Maybe a novella story or something but I’m glad he got his dreams answered. Jake, he’s an enigma of his own. I understood his wanting to shut himself from the world, feeling like he wasn’t enough to love and care for someone and he was definitely living in the past so I loved seeing him shed that and lighten up on Noah. He felt like he wasn’t striving for better when I think he’s wrong. He built his home and his own business from nothing while raising two sons alone. He was a lot stronger than he gave himself credit for and I loved that he opened himself up to more. I could see the chemistry he had with miari but it didn’t feel long term for me so when I saw them at the end I was both happy and apprehensive. I like them for each other, just wasn’t sure if it was long term. Kaleb, what can I say. He had me in tears and like I wanted to strangle him but he surprised me. I love that he took the time to work on himself and didn’t trap Tiernan. It was growth they both needed and their HEA was heartwarming. I love them.

I love the plot. It was incredibly well done and I loved that added suspense underlying everything. I would have like a few more incidents to really bring it home that they were being targeted but I also liked how that aspect was executed. It wasn’t overly done and it didn’t feel like it was drowned under everything else also. The world build was amazing. It truly felt like I was on too of a mountain during winter cut off from civilisation. I loved every second.

This book was a ride and it definitely makes you think about ones own circumstances and place in the world. A lot of things hit me hard in this book and made me connect with it on a deeper level. I loved the ride, I loved the angst, the tension and the emotional roller coaster. This is a book about finding yourself, finding your place in the world and also about love. That we don’t need to find it just in the one place and to not close ourselves off from it. But also to listen to ourselves and the people we care about. Be open to it and know that, love and home is a feeling not a place.
