This item comes inside a cardboard box. As of reviewing, this product costs £22.87, a decent price.When reading, the torch is good to reach long places or wear around your neck. You can choose from three different colour temperatures depending on your mood. The three colours are Yellow, White and Mixed; there is also adjustable brightness. Pull the end off where the light is when you want to charge these. There are two USB ports for charging (one on each side). You can twist the ends of the central part to almost any angle, enabling you to work at an angle.The product is soft if you are wearing it on your neck.I recommend this product, especially if you're reading books. The two different light settings are handy.

It arrives with just the light, and some instructions. Having searched for the charging lead and not finding one, I did the sensible thing and read the instructions. They informed me that it very cleverly has a built in USB which us accessed by removing one of the lights, I love this idea as you don't have to find a lead each time you charge it.
As far as functionality goes they do work very well, you have a choice of lighting colours and brightness, there is even a flashing option that I suppose would be useful to use if you were wearing it outside when walking in the dark.
Overall I'm extremely pleased with it, its bright enough and has lots of lighting options, it is very flexible and comfortable to wear, and it's easy to operate, so I'm happy to recommend it.

Excellent utility light that my wife has used as a focus light whilst cross-stitching, but I could see having a wide variety of other uses where perhaps a fixed light (e.g lamp) or other wearable (e.g. head lamp) would not offer the right angle or direction.
The two lights at either end offer 3 different white warmth, individually selectable on each light via clicky buttons (the modes cycle). The brightness is good - perfectly good enough for reading or crafts - but it isn't going to illuminate a path in front of you if you were trying to use it as an alternative for a torch.
The gooseneck connection between the two ends is highly adjustable, and this perhaps is the items best feature. It allows you to tweak each light to get it absolutely where you want it to point. Longevity is not something I can comment on, although there is certainly nothing at this early stage that would suggest this would slacken over time leaving a floppy uncooperative mess.
Charging requires popping off the light "cap" and plugging into a (not supplied) USB charger, though our use case (medium brightness) has meant we've only had to do this very infrequently.
Genuinely a much better item that was expected at the price point (£19.87 at the time of review).

The 'Toys4Boys Neck Reading Light Rechargeable' arrived in a branded box that also included an information sheet.
This is an interesting version of the neck light; with its own built in USB A charging connector at each light (which I hadn't realised till after taking my pictures). Others I have tried use a separate lead which might be lost or forgotten. In the case of this light, if you have the light, you have the charging connectors too.
I did find this neck light a bit front heavy so needed to bend the light units up to shine light on the subject. The flexible section between the light units seems a bit too flexible to me, but does mostly hold position.
Although the lights have a three colour temperature setting and that they can be independently controlled, as can brightness, I found that using cool white and a low brightness worked best for most tasks, the warm white is a bit too yellow for my liking.
The one thing that would make this neck light better in my opinion is an easily visible orientation mark for the removable light units to aid the USB connectors to be correctly orientated to avoid the risk of damage, but that doesn't warrant a reduction in stars.

I have an old kindle without a light so reading at night I need to keep a light on.
I’ve bought night reading lights before, usually the clip-on kind but although they do the job, they are not very successful especially with a read book as deciding where to put them in order to be able to turn the page, is a challenge.
Then at Christmas I bought my son a round the neck light which seemed much better. This one is even better!
• Its flexible so can be moved into a comfortable position around the neck
• The silicone type material is soft against skin.
• Its rechargeable with no lead or large batteries required. Useful if you need to move eg get up and still see at night.
• It has 3 different light settings AND each side is controlled individually so you can just have one light on for really low light or both or each one different!
