Had an electrician install it, I spent hours trying to do the app setup so had to contact ring support, they said theyve encountered the issue and that it could be fixed over a firmware update...After emailing them some images they said the wiring may be wrong but it wasn't (both the electrician and I checked the clearly labelled wires which is super easy to follow even for people with zero experience)....i kept trying the app setup periodicallly and on the 3rd day it magically started working ... don't know what the issue was.It's not as great as I hoped for but it's ok, the app starts ringing usually on the 2nd/3rd ring of the door so in many cases it's quicker for me to just walk to the door to unlock the gate. I also can't unlock the gate unless someone rings first but this depends on your intercom model (mines is a fermax 3390)...wish i knew that before. It works most of the time (like 70%‐80%) but there have been several times where the bell is ringing but the app isn't notifying me. As a result of these the device is good if I'm unable to get to the door or if im not at home.

This is very possibly the most useful thing I have ever bought. I recently moved into a block of 3 apartments, there is an intercom entry system but no means for delivery couriers to gain access to the communal hallway unless I am home; which is rarely! The ring intercom alerts me when someone rings the doorbel, allows me to speak to them, and if need be - unlock the door. I can do this from my phone from anywhere in the world as long as I have a mobile data signal.

Delivery (to my local hub - (for the very last time) was same day. Fitting it could not have been easier. Unpack the box and pop the battery on to charge. Whilst waiting for that, download the ring app and follow the idiot proof instructions. Yes, ok, it involves doing a bit of wiring; if you are able to wire a 3 pin plug you will have no difficulty doing this. Like I say, the app gives you step by step easy to follow instructions. Everything you need is in the box, including screwdrivers. Within 30 minutes the thing was on my wall and fully functional. Easy peasy.

Before you buy one, check that your door entry system is compatible. The system on my block must be 25 years old and not a brand that I had previously heard of - but it was on the list and about 7 different models were all listed!

No one will ever call at my place and find me 'not at home'.

Bought the "Ring Intercom", after keeping track of it since its official release - where my intercom system (Came BPT 62100430 / Agata VC BF) wasn't originally listed as supported, until recently. Once confirming compatibility via the checker (as well as permutations on the model number), I ordered the item - thinking that it would be the perfect addition (tl;dr: it wasn't).

After unpacking and installing the app, I was told to use the "B" cable and to wire "B-1" and "B-2" into the "B" terminal of my existing intercom - dutifully obliging, I then placed the fully charged battery into the "Ring Intercom" and started following through the setup; connecting to my network - unfortunately, despite it being 2023, the "Ring Intercom" /does not/ support 5Ghz networks, leaving me to connect it to my 2.4Ghz network. The light on the front went blue, and the app told me that it was updating - 20 minutes later, the notification on the app is gone and... the "Ring Intercom" had also gone offline; removing and replacing the battery causes it to reconnect for a short period, before going offline again... In total, I reset and fully attempted to re-setup the device a total of eight times to the same conclusion.

To switch up my fortunes, I dusted off an older AP that I had - which was completely vanilla, and bridged the connection from my other network; the setup completed, as did the update... and the Ring Intercom remained online. I continued the setup, where it wanted to do the post-installation testing - it told me to press continue when I saw the light go green; which it did - before I could even press the button, the app displayed a random error code (/no/ online documentation) and stated a communication error. Fast forward another six attempts (with the same failure), and we have lift off; I'm able to hear the message that's played back, and open the door - so I thought all was good, and went about my day.

A few hours later, I left to meet a friend for coffee - on the way back, and out of sheer laziness, I thought I'd buzz the door just prior to getting to it... Nothing. I try to call through to my apartment... Nothing. I check the status on the app, where Ring cheerfully tells me that it's online - and logging into my network, I can see the "Ring Intercom" is connected, but is doing the square root of... Eventually, attempting it again, the app tells me that an error has occurred and to try again later - whilst also telling me that it has successfully opened the door, etc. After a lot of fiddling with the outdoor intercom, it eventually does work after several requests sent from the Ring app.

Contacting support about the issue, they were unable to tell me what the error code was - and the extent of their advice was to reset the device, and to try setting it up again. Likewise, they highlighted that I should try exchanging the wires between the two terminals - and that if it still didn't work, that I should send them a screenshot of the error - alongside the usual gumpf of how it's a new product, etc, etc. After a few hours of conversing over two days, I decided that I didn't need such a temperamental piece of technology in my system and sent it back.

Great idea, poorly executed as usual.

Got this to use with electric gates at my home. Works perfectly and really happy with it. Allows me to open the gate or speak through the intercom even when I am not at the house, added the Ring Camera to the gate now too and now I can see who's calling and open the gate. Ring camera would not allow me to open the gate without this.

J'ai craqué pour ce produit en promotion à 60€. J'en avais assez des livreurs qui ne trouvaient pas mon adresse, ma boîte aux lettres ou mon bâtiment (ils appellent et basta). Avec ce dispositif, je peux enfin à distance donner accès à nos deux interphones.

Le montage n'est pas compliqué du moment que le modèle est identifié. En pratique, ce qui m'a pris le plus de temps, c'est que je voulais être sûr à 100% du modèle d'un ancien interphone Urmet 1130/55.

Une fois identifié, l'application permet de faire la configuration assez facilement. Il suffit alors de connecter les fils bien identifiés aux bornes de l'interphone en faisant attention de ne rien débrancher. C'est très accessible, il faut faire quelques photos avant par précaution. Fonctionnement du premier coup !

L'occasione per colmare questa lacuna è arrivata con il Black Friday, quando ho trovato in offerta il Ring Intercom. Attratto dalla sua promessa di comodità e dalla compatibilità con il mio ecosistema Ring esistente, non ho esitato ad acquistarlo.

L'installazione si è rivelata sorprendentemente In circa 10 minuti, seguendo le istruzioni chiare e precise incluse nella confezione, ho collegato il dispositivo al mio citofono Comelit a 5 fili. Il processo è stato intuitivo e non ha richiesto l'intervento di un tecnico specializzato.

**Configurazione e integrazione:**

La configurazione del Ring Intercom è stata un gioco da ragazzi, in linea con la semplicità che contraddistingue tutti i prodotti Ring. In pochi passaggi ho collegato il dispositivo all'app Ring e l'ho integrato con il mio sistema domotico esistente.

L'integrazione con l'app Ring è eccellente. L'interfaccia intuitiva permette di gestire l'apertura del cancello con un semplice tocco, oltre a visualizzare lo storico delle attività e le notifiche in caso di chiamate al citofono.

La compatibilità con Alexa è un altro punto di forza. Con semplici comandi vocali posso aprire il cancello per i corrieri, dare accesso agli ospiti o controllare chi è alla porta senza dover alzare un dito.

Oltre all'apertura del cancello, Ring Intercom offre diverse funzionalità avanzate che ne ampliano l'utilità:

L'installazione semplice, la configurazione intuitiva e l'ampia gamma di funzionalità avanzate rendono Ring Intercom un prodotto adatto a tutti, anche a chi non ha grande esperienza con la tecnologia.

**Esempio d'uso:**

Immaginate di essere in cucina e di sentire il suono del campanello. Invece di dover alzarvi e correre al citofono, potete comodamente aprire il cancello direttamente dall'app Ring sul vostro smartphone. Oppure, se siete in ufficio e aspettate un corriere, potete utilizzare un comando vocale per aprire il cancello

 Hace un tiempo nos mudamos a un adosado, con su puerta perimetral propia (lo que seria la puerta del portal, pero no comunitario) y estábamos buscando soluciones para poder atender las llamadas a ella cuando no estábamos.
 
Instalamos un video portero de la marca ARLO, con el cual estamos encantados, funciona avisando a la perfección cuando te llaman, con una calidad de imagen y sonido genial.
Pero tiene una gran pega, no podíamos abrir la puerta de fuera con él.
Para ello teníamos que instalar un videoportero cableado integrado, lo cual subía el presupuesto una barbaridad.

Así que ahora teníamos dos timbres en la puerta de fuera; el del portero clásico, al cual si llamaban y estamos fuera no nos enteramos, y el video portero de ARLO, al cual a veces no llamaban (y no nos enteramos) o si llaman no podemos abrir.

Ahora con este dispositivo lo hemos solucionado, ya puedo ver quien me llama por el video portero, y luego abrir la puerta gracias a este dispositivo, es una maravilla.
Aunque con este dispositivos puedes hacer las dos funciones básicas de un portero automático pero desde tu móvil:
- Hablar con quien te llame, la comunicación es bidirectional
- Abrir la puerta

Así que los repartidores de Amazon no tienen que tirarme los paquetes por la valla porque no puedo abril, les abro y me dejan el paquete en la entrada, estoy encantado.
 
Lo primero, lo fácil que se instala. Os aseguro que no tengo el mas mínimo conocimiento de electricidad ni cables, y me costó 2 minutos literalmente montarlo.
Las instrucciones en la app no pueden ser más concisas y fáciles, hasta te da los consejos para escamotear los cables… una maravilla.
 
Debes ver primero si tu portero es compatible, en las propias características del producto en Amazon te indica como ver el modelo, fabricante y si es compatible.
En mi caso es un Fermax compatible.
Y como salió en oferta de 40 euros… que mejor excusa para probarlo. Ha sido la mejor inversión que he hecho en tiempos.
 
La instalación, lo dicho, facilísima.
Desmontar tu portero (solo tiene un tornillo y quitar la tapa, lo sencillo que es un portero, nunca lo hubiera imaginado) y conectar los cables siguiendo las indicaciones paso a paso de la app, imposible fallar.
Viene con diferente mazos de cables preparados en función de tu portero, él te dira cual mazo necesitas y donde conectarlo paso a paso (hasta con imágenes). La instalación física no necesita ningún grado de capacitación.
Trae con los mazos de cables, tornillos y tacos para fijarlo en pared y hasta un destornillador, mas completo imposible.
 
Para la instalación del dispositivo solo tienes que conectarlo a tu portero automático de casa, no debes hacer nada en la puerta de entrada (ni en la tuya, ni en la del portal si es comunitario)

Para la conexión del dispositivo a la red wifi solo debes colocar la batería y entra en modo conexión, con la app te conectas a tu red de 2.4gHz y listo, tan fácil como todos estos aparatos de domótica.
 
Funciona con una batería recargable, no se puede alimentar de corriente alterna.
He aquí la gran duda, cuanto dura la batería??? En mi caso lo instale el día 26.04.23 con la batería al 100%, y hoy día 15.05.23 con uso normal (2-3 llamadas al día, salvo fines de semana, y enredando más por la novedad) aun esta al 88%, así que por duración no va a ser.
Además en la app te indica el nivel de batería, así que cuando este acabándose con retirarla y cargarla por la noche es suficiente.
Esta batería se extrae fácilmente, cargándose por toma micro-usb (cable incluido) tardando unas 5 horas en cargar.
Esta carga por micro-usb es la única pega que le pongo al dispositivo.

La app es sencillísima y util, permite no sólo abrir la puerta sino también te notifica cuando llaman al timbre de tu portero, así puedes contestar y hablar con quien llama.
Por supuesto desde la app puedes configurar totalmente el intercom, abrir más dispositivos, compartir permisos para que otra persona de casa pueda también contestar y abrir la puerta y mucho más.

Pero lo mejor es que puedes abrir la puerta cuando quieras, no tienes que esperar a que llamen, yo los veo por el vídeo portero, cambió la app a Ring y abro la puerta, genial!!
Eso si, para poder hablar te tienen que llamar.

Pero acabo de descubrir que si que se puede hablar con el intercom sin que llamen, gracias a….ALEXA.
La integración con Alexa es perfecta, puedes decirle que “Alexa abre la puerta” y activa la apertura, pero también “Alexa habla con la puerta”, así puedes escuchar tu portero automático e incluso hablar sin que llamen.
Una pasada.

Los 40 euros mejor gastados en mucho tiempo.

Mi è piaciuta dal principio l’idea di poter rendere accessibile da remoto anche un citofono semplice ed essenziale, ma ho esitato non poco un po' per i dubbi sulla compatibilità e un po’ per via di alcune recensioni negative che mi hanno fatto desistere. Poi, in una delle ultime offerte (perché alla fine il valore è quello, non quello ingiustificabile del prezzo pieno) mi sono deciso di comprarlo. Essendo abbastanza pratico l’ho installato in modo rapido e semplice, ben guidato dalle istruzioni che però, nonostante la piena compatibilità con il mio citofono (un semplicissimo e comunissimo Urmet, molto diffuso), hanno rilevato un collegamento non corretto e zero funzionalità. Collegamento non sbagliato (intendiamoci) ma insufficiente, nel senso che solo grazie al supporto telefonico dell’assistenza, si è reso necessario collegare dei fili in più rispetto a quelli indicati dall’app. Ora, va bene che l’assistenza è stata prontamente disponibile, ma forse anche troppo, nel senso che all’operatore è bastata la foto del codice della scheda del citofono per inoltrarmi subito lo schema di collegamento corretto, per cui sarebbe stato forse più auspicabile un aggiornamento delle informazioni sulla stessa app (che è appunto un software comunemente aggiornabile), senza suscitare sudori freddi e imprecazioni al povero utente. Al netto di questo inconveniente, ora funziona tutto per il meglio: la notifica dell’app è praticamente quasi contemporanea allo squillo del citofono (ritardo dell’ordine del secondo, a differenza di quanto lamentato da alcuni che hanno scritto di ritardi inaccettabili), la qualità della comunicazione è accettabile (se non altro in rapporto a quelli che possono essere i brevissimi scambi con un interlocutore ad un citofono che sente e viene sentito, anche in tal caso a differenza di quanto lamentato da alcuni che hanno scritto di degrado inaccettabile), la temporizzazione (comunque regolabile) dell’abilitazione dell’elettro-serratura è corretta. Provato l’impiego dei comandi vocali con Alexa con cui è perfettamente integrato (quasi nativamente, come l’intero eco-sistema Ring del resto), ma in tal caso tra la notifica sui vari dispositivi della linea Echo, il comando di interrogazione di Intercom, la risposta di Alexa e lo stabilirsi della comunicazione, il tempo per capire chi ha citofonato è davvero eccessivo (considerando che si presuppone di stare in casa, a meno che non si sia impossibilitati a raggiungere la cornetta insomma), senza contare quello che poi ci vorrebbe per il comando di apertura.
Ad ogni modo, il dispositivo può si essere utilizzato quando si è a casa ma sicuramente non nasce per questo, ma per consentire di utilizzare in remoto il citofono quando appunto a casa non ci trova e diversamente non ci sarebbero altri modi per rispondere ed aprire il portone. Infine, veniamo all’ultimo punto che è poi uno dei motivi principali per cui alcuni (come me) acquistano l’Intercom per consentire la consegna dei pacchi in assenza dalla residenza (perlomeno, per chi come me ha un vano scale esterno all’abitazione ovviamente, con opportuno abbinamento di una telecamera di controllo). Sarebbe bello nonché utile se, abilitata l’operatività autonoma dei corrieri Amazon (come ho fatto io), gli stessi rilevando l’Intercom non dovrebbero neanche citofonare ma aprire da soli il portone per lasciare il pacco (e muoversi quindi con maggiore rapidità), ma evidentemente non tutti saranno stati istruiti su tali possibilità tramite il loro terminale di consegna, perché con me non lo ha messo in pratica ancora nessuno.
