Top critical review
3.0 out of 5 starsDon’t buy if switching from AirPod Pros, sadly disappointing

I’m a bit disheartened writing a mediocre review for a brand a product which have a lot of potential.
Firstly I’m new to nothing, been a fan for a while but never pulled the plug due to being an Apple user, but have carefully been following nothing for A while. Decided to pull the plug and purchase Nothign Ear as it seemed the upgrades were god enough now to challenge apples AirPods Pro’s.
I have the AirPod pros first gen and haven’t seen anything come close to the round package you get with AirPods.
So, based on a month of using the ear I’ve sadly had to return them due to major flaws, my below outcomes.
Sound quality: far superior to AirPods and have missed good quality and the bass and trebles are far better.
ANC: Similar to AirPod pros but would say it probably just below it basing it against the high pitch noise generated on the tubes in London, so definitely would say the Ear provides better ANC.
Transparency: this is a big one for me personally, with the AirPods I think the transparency is unbeatable and was hoping nothing would be a challenger but unfortunately it’s way of the mark on this. My voice is muffled and can hear the bass of my voice when speaking which is not nice when taking calls.
This definitely needs to be improved and I’m hoping a few more updates and this will hopefully get there.
They have released an a minor improvement and does seem to be better but still nowhere close enough to the transparency on the pros which is so good it makes your forget you’ve got the earbuds in which is what true transparency should be.
Battery life: an easy one, as I’m on AirPod pro gen 1s this is far better and really welcomed the battery life!
Connectivity - This is the main reason I’ve returned, absolutely horrid, I work in central but the connection has dipped in and out so many times on a commute I had to stop using them but also happens even when I’ve been in remote places, it’s horrific. Something you’d expect with £30 EarPods, so bad. As a London company you’d think this would be verified, I contacted Nothing and they did nothing, acknowledged the transparency is bad but would not look into further and just said to return.
Overall: If they can master transparency with a few more updates and take away the inside muffles of hearing the bass of my voice and sort connectivity out then it could be a solid product but I can’t see that happening anytime soon, really disappointed and I’d still go buy AirPod pros for £70 more!
