Amazon do it again! Good quality tablet at a reasonable price. I use it for music and podcasts, just the job, good clear sound and I am half deaf!

This is a glorified ebook reader and it does that job well.
However, the Fire is truly dire if you want to search the net with it. It uses the Amazon Silk browser which is pretty poor. More often than not it just times out on a simple search. I then pick up my iPhone and find what I'm looking for straight away. It's not at all keen on you downloading an alternative browser and there is a very limited range of apps available on the app store.
Silk is also quite infuriating. If it doesn't instantly recognise your search term it will repeatedly replace it with something else. No matter how many times you try to retype the original search term, it just keeps offering you the same random alternative.
I'd have been quite annoyed if I'd paid the full price for it,but fortunately I picked it up when there was a sale on.
So if you're on a really right budget and you want to use it mostly for reading books, this is just fine. If you want to do a bit more, it might be better to shop around.

I think this is good value for money . And great for a kids first tablet … I will be giving this to my 2 year old next month as a present . Youm can download apps like Disney+ , Netflix ect also learning games and audiobooks which my baby loves !
I have only had this in my hand for a maximum of 30 minutes so I can’t really say much on it but it does seem good value for money the system was abit slow however the tablet was on 16% charged rather fast also has parental controls as I uploaded a photo which I think is brilliant!
Also comes with a charger and PLUG ! which is brilliant I hope it last and my son enjoys was also very easy to set up especially if the parent or guardian has an Amazon account already existing .

This is a great bit of kit for the price. As a regular Apple buyer who has paid over £800 for an iPad (which I love) I was blown away by the price and functionality of this device for a fraction of the price. Surfing the net, social media, reading, apps, email - it’s pretty much all there. Perfect for kids too given the price.

I'm very impressed with the tablets
I bought 2 and both working great.
Stays charged for a full day just as good as my samsung tablet.
These was bought at Xmas as presents for two - 6yr old twins.
The google child controls are brilliant you can set times and control them from my phone.

Bought for my little sister. She likes using it but it is performing a bit slow and you cannot download many games on it. Picture quality is also not excellent but not bad. It is easy to use and lightweight. Downsize is that its a bit smaller than expected or older versions
