I bought this for my sons 18th, ive always used amazons refurbished phones if they are excellent quality and never, ever had a problem, until today. He has tried to charge it but the charger wouldnt work, i assumed theyd sent a faulty charging cable so although slightly miffed, we have literally a dozen iphone cables as we all have 1phones 10 and above. So i gave him my cable and it worked straight away, however by tea time ghe battery was almost flat without much over use so again i gave him my cable but it didnt work, i unplugged it, turned it over, plugged it back in but nothing. I immediately plugged it in my iphone 11 and it started charging straight away. I gave him the cable back and asked him to try it again but again nothing, it wouldnt charge. So i gave him his dads charger and it charged straight away, i was starting to get a bit worried and within seconds it stopped charging, we unplugged it, turned it around again, plugged it back in and again it started charging but then immediately stopped. I gave him my other sons working charger but that did nothing so i gave him my daughters and that starting charging. We checked back half an hr later and again it had stopped charging. These are all perfectly good and working charging cables but they will not work with this phone or only work for a short amount of time. If this is the trouble we are having on day 1, i dread to think what itll b like weeks down the line so i thought instead of dreading the hassle i know we’re going to have weeks or months down the line, ill just send it back. So i am very disappointed with this phone but even more so when i realised i have to pay to send it back myself. I havent sent many items back to amazon but whenever i have, its never cost me a penny. I name the post office where i want to send it from and i dont even need to print my own labels, they do everything and its free so for this to actually charge me returning a faulty item right from the very first day has miffed me no end. In fact im more than miffed im really angry. It was sold through a seller but it came through prime so im going to email someone from amazon and see what they do as i shouldnt have to pay to send something back thats arrived faulty through prime.
I will update when i get a refund and let you know if that was as easy as it should be because i have a feeling this is going to be a nightmare.
