There is no roughness to the cord and the item despite cleaning with a wipe was dyefast.
A really nice touch by the seller was to include a free gift in the form of a wooden pendant and to also include cards with inspiring Buddha quotes.
Even without these extras ,I would be happy to purchase this again for myself , or as a present
