Report a scam

We take phishing and spoofing attempts seriously. If you receive a suspicious call, SMS or email you think may not be from Amazon, please report it immediately by following the steps below.

In order to give you the best advice on what actions to take, please select the appropriate link below, based on how you have responded to the suspicious communication.

The UK Home Office launched a Stop! Think Fraud [External link] campaign to give consumers the knowledge and tools to stay ahead of scams. Visit their page for more information.

You can also report a scam using one of the UK Home Office's preferred methods [External link].

In Ireland, you can report a scam to your local Garda station [External link].

If you are reporting a phishing or unsolicited email, you will also be asked to forward a copy of the email to Amazon.

To report a phishing or unsolicited email to Amazon, open a new email and attach the email that you suspect is fake. Send the email to reportascam@amazon.com. Sending the suspicious email as an attachment is the best way for us to track it.

Note: Amazon can't respond to you personally when you write to reportascam@amazon.com, but you may receive an automatic confirmation email.

To securely sign in to your Amazon account you can enable Passkey to simply use your face, fingerprint, or the PIN that you use to unlock your device. Passkeys are a convenient and secure way to sign in to your Amazon account without using a password.

If you have security concerns about your account, review the Protect Your System help page or contact us.
