I upgraded from my old bose soundsports to these last week as a birthday treat. I always wanted the xm4s due to the sound quality being the best on the market ans expected great things from the xm5s. Stupidly I ignored everyone's comments on how uncomfortable they are which is such a massive drawback.
In order to get a 'seal' and really hear what these headphones can do, I had to jam them in my ear canal to a point where within wearing for about 10 minutes they became super painful / uncomfortable. And the problem with this is without the seal, these headphones sound no better than a cheap £20 pair.
I did look into buying some new ear tips, but when you're spending over £200 on headphones and have to spend another £10-20 to get them to work properly out the box, this just didn't sit right with me.
And then to top it all off, I started getting connectivity issues in the right ear bud after a few days of light use.
After spending days / weeks of researching, I'm massively disappointed with the quality of these and they're heading straight back.
