I live in the Lake District where it rains (a lot!), but full wellies aren't always practical, e.g. taking the dog for a short walk. I had a pair of Joules welly bobs, which I loved, but they started leaking. Rather than replace like for like I took the plunge with these Dream Pairs wellies, having read loads of great reviews, and I'm surprisingly impressed with them, for under 17 quid! I'm a UK6.5 and bought my size, and with medium thickness socks fit nice and snugly, don't slip, don't rub, and are really comfy to walk in. I walked 4 miles through mud and puddles and they were still comfortable at the end, and my feet were dry! Do note that the elastic sections on the inner and outer ankle are NOT waterproof, so best to avoid deep puddles or the water will start seeping through. They look smart too and aren't clompy or heavy. I hope they last at least a year, but at this price I wouldn't mind having to replace them annually. Hopefully they won't fail before then.
